You can do higher tiers tho to offset the xp loss with the faster muting.

my experience so far is that i can do 1.5 tiers higher then the min at my prof, at 10 min is t3mag and im doing usually t4 mag, if i try going angelict4+ stabilize still fails even with faster muting

Negative, muting has a hard cap based on your rank, so you cannot do higher items during a faster transmuting event like you could with say glyphing etc.

In ports example being rank 10 he would be able to do more t5 godly easier. Where i'm assuming without faster muting he wouldn't even try godly.

So faster muting, doing higher to your max doesn't off set any xp loss?

That's also my understanding. During faster muting event, I usually bump a tier from what I normaly do, keeping in mind the max item lvl for my rank.

ill give it a shot during the event, might not jump a whole tier but if i can start collecting higher rarity ess's of T4's that might be worth it

Gut event.

I always mute everything that gives prof, it's already hard enough to get muteables so I take everything.
Currently my max is Magical T8 and I mute them as many as I can get.

In that sense I dislike faster muting events since I get less prof per item...

In my book these events rather help with lower muteables that no longer give you prof, those get done easier and faster now.
