How is making a thread whining about how lucky people on sc have been this season and how easy it is beneficial again? Sounds like whining to me. You know I originally started with no gear also, right? Do you think you are so novel, because you decide to level a character with no gear all of the time? Most people have done that. I don't have to have good gear to level, but I took the time to find it so I'm going to use it. I started hc just like you did, at the beginning where there was nothing. I built and mqed a base vit mage, because JayKwik said it couldn't be done. I think I was the second mage to mq on hc after Killer_Stride. I started on sc the same way. I didn't by an item off the mp for ages and I came in right after the initial muting was patched so I didn't benefit from that. I didn't find an item for the first 8 seasons I played. I could have complained about this like you do, about people who have gear. Instead I made some nice trades and continued that trend until I built some nice setups. I never had a problem with your donation threads. For every thread you make disparaging Paul not listening to people and the game in general, you undo everything good you might do in a thread where you help people. Do you not see this?



Help get your points across more clearly and make you look like an adult. It takes just as long to spell things wrong and punctuate as it does to do it incorrectly. Would you read a book about day trading that was finger painted?

what one is it??? you came in after the patch.. or you played 8 seasons??? cause they didnt happen at the same time LOL.

call it a whine thread .. if it makes you happy.. ( you know.. once sober .. it looks like a bit like a whine thread too ) . but you do realize the point of it dont you.. how many posts are in it?? did it do what i wanted.. start a conversation .. it did. just like this thread.. got people posting .. beside the stupid +1 posts. apperently if you look at the poll.. im not the only one that thinks sc or hc is too easy .. so therefore.. i did connect with somone.

as for doing good things.. how dare you.. i USED to do good things for people.. got screwed so bad i quit for 9 months.. wont happen again.. i refuse to help anyone ( not a guildmate i trust ) on this site. i make games for people to EARN stuff.. but i dont just hand it out.

as for the gear thing.. yea.. i dont doubt that at one time you and 100% of everyone that plays started with nothing.. but did you start today??? i bet someone else did.. how about instead of showing how godly you can be with good gear to the just starting noob.. you show how godly you can be when your JUST LIKE THEM.. it makes noobs WANT to be good.. it also makes noobs stick around.. the more they see that it doesnt take gear or massive fg to stick around.. then they will stay.. when all you show is your 100k setup and your daily mq threads .. then yea.. they see those and bolt.
you might not like the "noobs" of this game.. but everyone was a noob at one point.. why not make the next (choke a puke) bennel instead of making the next random that plays for a week and leaves.

if you show people that they can be as good as you without committing a few paychecks into the game.. then they will stick around.. i like my gear.. its not all that bad.. and do you realize ive never once given $ to this site.. started with just over 100fg by playing diablo.. just like most of us.. and now i have some pretty nice gear on hc.. not the best.. hell.. not even HALF the best .. but i can mq a few times a week without having to ever go in the cata combs.. noobs see this and say.. Hell.. i can do that.

what do you show? your in the #1 guild ( so you have helpers if you need ) and you have tons of godly gear ( atleast from a hc point of view ) ..






ah.. you do it correctly.. but do you point it out when others don't?

The original muting patch. The one that stopped you from muting godly modded tier 1 items. I have played more than 8 seasons.




We have a few people in our guild who just started. I help them constantly, probably too much. As far as, being godly. I have never passed to ninja. I'm 0-71 on monk attempts, so I don't think I am godly at all. We have several people in our guild that have opened five doors multiple times, they are the godly ones. I just fail it out over and over again, but I never quit.



I don't know anyone from my guild that has spent a paycheck on this game. We have always been about using what you have as best you can. Several of our members have come up with ideas that have formed the basis for this game as it is played today. They find items that nobody else wants and make them work. That is what we preach to our membership.



We weren't the number 1 guild for the longest time. We were always that number 3 guild that everyone kinda ignored. What did we do different? We never quit. That is why other guilds like Laby and Society have been so strong for so long. Sure we might have periods of more/less activity, but we never quit. Not giving up is the only way you can give yourself a chance to succeed in this game.

Dano.. you only forgot 1 thing.. not giving up is key.. but also not being content with how things are.. you can always have a better game.. as long as people play.. it needs to evolve.

Agreed, but there are good and bad ways of doing it. Would you go to a restaurant if you saw an overtly negative review of it? Maybe, but you are much less likely too than one you have heard a good review for. That is all this was really about. I'm not going to say you don't post positive stuff, just think twice before you disparage the game if the outcome you want is new players.

At the end of the day, though, I still want your characters dead. I hope if you can look past that part, that maybe someday we can be friends.

Oh.. i dont see the problem with being friends.. if you dont have someone telling the exact opposite of what you are seeing.. you will never see the whole thing.

only thing i see as hard is the death of my chars due to someone else ( not counting paul and his lag dragon )

i would not go to a resturant with a bad review.. i refuse to read them until ive tried the food though.. sometimes a good thing.. sometimes OMFG not..
