I'd try for a battleaxe or spear or something, as opposed to a longsword. Can still hit zeros with it. No bueno.

yeah i've been using both swords on and off, the heavy one seems to do much better. I might just be getting lucky and hitting it closer to the 137 each time

With all the years that I have used Heavy weapons, I have changed my view on Battleaxe / Spear of same tier level vs Longsword & Polearms and higher level mobs & EPs. Actually found them to be better than B/ax/Spears... you should try them out sometime.
