Yeah, you can mule and use your vault as long as the items you're using are items you found on one of your bufcore chars it's all good.

Basically, the only limitations are the char must be a new HC char, everything you use must be self found from one of your bufcore chars and you can't group with any non bufcore chars.



I think the way that we've been doing it now is that as long as the gear was self found on one of your bufcore chars then you can reuse it if you RIP. Maybe the original bufcore wasn't like that, but that's how I see we've been doing it. Also, if you pass you can use the gear self found from previous bufcore climbs.



Haha grouping is probably much harder than solo. Has anyone even tried 2 or 3 man bufcore catas?

Given I gave away quite literally everything I owned on HC and deleted all the characters, then I assume this would mean as long as I don't use market, every HC char I make is bufcore, and all gear I have is usable, correct?

Not an issue right this second. Up to level 25. Using the "melee" category in my vault to just try to put together tIII-V axes and scales, regardless of stats. At the point where I'm very close to rerolling to locate wells easier/faster.

Bufcore is one character that uses only self found gear from runs with that same character, you can NOT use items found on one character to another bufcore character... i.e. SELF found.

Well, as far as I know everyone that has ripped so far has reused the gear they found on their bufcore char. In my opinion, that's fine since they already slogged through once and made some progress. Ripping their best/highest tier gear is punishment enough. As far as SELF found goes it can also be interpreted as found by you (self) on your account, not necessarily the character. I know the original was different and I'm pretty sure in the original people were also limited to not vaulting or even xfering items, so it has evolved. I haven't died yet, but if I do then I'd likely reuse the items I already found on my new bufcore char.

In my opinion, as long as people do the following it should still fit in the current state of bufcore:
- Use a fresh HC char to start to climb with
- Don't use any item bought or traded for in any way. Basically, only use items picked up by one of their own bufcore chars.
- Group only with other bufcore chars

Idk what everyone else thinks.. Either way, people are free to play however they want.



You've definitely made some quick progress. Be sure to also save some daggers/swords for when you pass to samurai.

Yeah, building an axe set and dagger set for melee. Far as I know, that'll cover all melee classes. Be long enough before I hit anything needing robes or caster equipment that I figure I'll gather that up more naturally (based on quality of stats, etc.).
