Nah 95% of events not worth playing because base evils spawn rate is to low.

I think you need to blame the RNG for that.

Hey... I have been in a 5x5 catacomb and encounter EPs on 3 tiles, whereas I have also encountered 0 ... thus, just dumb luck or RNG.

The same goes with higher level catacombs like 25x16 (level 44 to 66 completion) ... I can come across 3 sets of EPs (tiles out of the dimension) or less or more... however, the RNG upon creating the catacomb make me CLOSER to the EP tiles, or further away ... just like moving 2 spaces (tiles) and fall in a TD or finding a Well or Warm Light or Flash trap and so on.

yes because spwan rate is to low
as u can see here:

if u explore 50 fields:
probability 0 evils ~36%
probability 1 evils ~38%
probability 2 evils ~18%
probability 3 evils ~6%

the probability to get 0 or 1 evils is just to high and feels bad (~75 of the time u will get 0 or 1 evils after 50 fields) ofc in reality its much worse becasue on "already explored field" evils cant spwan.

I am shit at Mathematics, however that equation is full of holes.

They use 50 tiles ... say 5x10 ... however they don't have an equation for a 5x5 ... 25 tiles (so the conclusion is 50%) ... however in the 25 tile catacomb I come across 3 tiles with EPs (not including TD/Spin/Emblem or Warm light & Treasure Chest etc)

Okay... let us say they are correct, however the "probability" is diminished because there are other factors:

EP (Their probability based only on EP)

Now... what about the probability for;

Flash (wouldn't this be the same singled out?)
Emblem (again... same probability if this was the only modifier)
Trap Door (again... same thing if only modifier)
Warm Light (once again... same results is singular)

Now... your example and probability is ONLY based on one factor... Evil Presence... HOWEVER, the probability is divided by 5 ... and that is only based on a 50 tile map.




I don't know the mathematics behind it all, I may have misread it, but that is just my understanding of it based on 1 tile and % chance that either:

#1 No Monster or other mod appears
#2 Normal Monster Appears
#3 EP monster appears
#4 Warm Light
#5 Trap Door
#6 Emblem
#7 Flash

Thus ... out of 100% chance ... you have a 30% chance to get #1 (No Monster or other mod appears)

That is just a small sample of each tile... however, upon entering a catacomb at the start, the RNG has already allocated certain tiles for specific tasks (modifiers)

tltr: evils rate is to low ->high chance to get a losing streak without evils -> feels bad -> more evils is the only relavant event mod -> no more evils = bad event
