Okay... let us say they are correct, however the "probability" is diminished because there are other factors:
EP (Their probability based only on EP)
Now... what about the probability for;
Flash (wouldn't this be the same singled out?)
Emblem (again... same probability if this was the only modifier)
Trap Door (again... same thing if only modifier)
Warm Light (once again... same results is singular)
Now... your example and probability is ONLY based on one factor... Evil Presence... HOWEVER, the probability is divided by 5 ... and that is only based on a 50 tile map.
I don't know the mathematics behind it all, I may have misread it, but that is just my understanding of it based on 1 tile and % chance that either:
#1 No Monster or other mod appears
#2 Normal Monster Appears
#3 EP monster appears
#4 Warm Light
#5 Trap Door
#6 Emblem
#7 Flash
Thus ... out of 100% chance ... you have a 30% chance to get #1 (No Monster or other mod appears)
That is just a small sample of each tile... however, upon entering a catacomb at the start, the RNG has already allocated certain tiles for specific tasks (modifiers)
