Paul please wipe everyone's gear on the next reset so we can see some real whining and actually have everyone on the same playing field. Thanks :)

I absolutely love monster difficulty and think it has a great purpose but since Paul split it into 4 or 5 separate events it seems to pop up all the time which can be annoying. Also getting like 10% harder monsters is kind of lame. If it's like 50% or 100% or even 150% it's way more exciting because it actually changed the gameplay. 10% harder monsters doesn't make anything harder, it basically just says -10% experience and 10% longer climbs. Maybe turn up the minimum to 50% for harder monsters events and make them less frequent and it's aw in win :D .

We all want to be able to solo if wanted or group climb in an efficient manner that doesnt require more than an hour because we can't always dedicate 2 or 3 hours in one sitting.

Say there was a 200% harder monster event and they were really tough. Right now most of the time we don't even have to heal until lvl 30,40 sometimes even level 50+. Imagine an event that made it so we had to break the monotony and stat our points differently and a healer actually had to equip a heal charm from the beginning? Imagine there being a reward for this too. Imagine there being more challenges to the game besides the luck game of the master quest itself. Not everyone has amazing gear so ya, it's more of a team effort kind of event.

groups with "average" players are also 2 hour slogs, not really comparable to a UA group using 200ee gear on everyone.

I remember doing 4 hour climbs and 8 hours mirror maze. So I don't see a problem with this

The game sped up so fast that guys started doing other things and not focus for 50% of the climb. I do appreciate the challenge and hope it will stay that way!

another quote about the good old days what 10 years ago ? and another guy who "likes" it cuz 200ee ++ gears all around the block.

take my challenge wich meridian was to scared to do. Cuz he know the reality is he wouldnt enjoy it with this kinda gear/setup. he would mostlikely skip these events

get a mediocre setup, 130 ee mq max. 45 stats charm/armor tops, 35int staff if casting with staff user, 40 if dagger char. and tell me if you like it just as much :) Solo/full explore

HF with it, i hope you take the challenge, same goes for anyone else with 200+ ee gears all around the board who claims they "like" it

Can even extend the challenge same gear reqs, but 5man group, explore/whistle both would be lovely to hear about

I'm soloing with my ML staff, so I don't have any Int on my staff.

I will finish the levels 61-81 with my level 45 wind, it should be compare able to a 140~ ee MQ, since I'm not running int on my weapon it's even worse.

I will give you some input how it felt Tim

To suggest some of the best slashers around couldn't cut it or have fun with mediocre gear is a little silly. A lot of the top guys get where they are by putting in the time and grinding. Start them at the bottom they'll work their way up. Yea a lot of them now have ridiculous gear but it's earned. Even so, something I've noticed is they are the still the best clickers, try to keep up with their actions. New people can still do the same, it shouldn't be easy, you should have to work. Nothing that goes on now prevents new players from succeeding.

I'm pretty new again being gone a long time and just coming back recently and I did what you're suggesting on HC for a few climbs already through these events of late. I solo MQd with a lvl 45 160ee wep and 200ee lvl 40 plate, so approx 120ee and 140ee at lvl 55. These lvl 55 items on SC would cost very little. It was not that bad and I enjoyed it. This game is not that hard for new players that are willing to invest only a few thousand fg and grind it out.

Most of the people complaining the loudest aren't even in the demographic they claim are affected the most. Most are well above average in terms of gear.

From what I'm witnessing there have been a lot of new players coming to LS recently and several I would say are succeeding during these prohibitively difficult monster damage events.
