Rex started on SC a long time ago, he's well aware of what goes on, as am I, and I currently only play HC. The HC community is smaller, so maybe that's why it seems like there are more helpful people. The ratio is probably a bit better.

There are generous, kind, helpful people on both cores and throughout the site.

There are also those that are... not.

The way I envision communication is how people play the game. In some way or another, the LS community is always communicating with Paul, no matter who is conscious of it. Thanks for your responses

Forget the arena, fuark worrying about Vault fees (people don't need to use the Vault), and don't worry about whether Paul speaks to the LS community or not. If we control only what is within us to control, we find better outcomes

Ok, Alot of you know me, and alot of you may not.
I do not claim to be the best slasher, I do not claim to know all.
I do not have the most GP's, The best items, Or the most time played.
I cannot give you an accurate price check, And in a group, I probably wont have the most actions.

But

One thing I can tell you is that I love this game..

LS has brought alot to me (as I am sure it has all of us).

Yes, in RARE instances it has brought me fg, But more importantly it has brought me fun competition (thank you UA! )
It has brought me the feeling of rage at my 15th FDF in a row on the feeder class (Yes sad I know)

But more important than anything else, Is the friendships I have gained during my time in LS.

The person I have to thank for that more than anyone else (god bless her) Is Sharpdeath (alot of you may not remember her)
But she was my "in" to LS, She took and brought me into the game when I new NOTHING about it, I had NO gear, NO experience,
and I had never entered a Cata before in my life, but that did not stop her from spending what must have been a painful 5 hours of climbing with me
to get me to my 1st GP ever, and its something I will NEVER forget, I remember her not for what she had, how much she made, or anything else.
I remember her for the person she was to invite me in and let me climb, when I had nothing...

My point in that little story is that WE are our own victims here, you all said it,









We make the bed we lay in, WE treat these newcomers this way, and we sit here and complain about the decline..

there is SO MUCH more that we can improve upon within the community before we start to worry about the game mechanics itself..

While we are all sitting here, complaining about all these things, Efforts could be put into things we CAN actually change.
The LS community is smart, creative, and when we want to be, a force to be reckoned with! and each and every one
of you brings something unique to the table
Start using your knowledge, and expertise of the game in creative and constructive ways, in things we can change and manage





We can start by improving ourselves..

Mate I know you are trying to be nice, and I hope this doesn't come off as rude, but I purposely left all emotions out of my first post when I stated my opinions about the game. The way your post comes off is disregarding all of my opinions while quoting a fortune cookie. I'd like my opinions to matter instead of being shut down with a smile.

I'm not upset, just a note for next time since I know you were sincerely trying to be nice probably. Listening/discussing is better then saying "Forget all that stuff! Rainbows!"

Even when I felt like i was being shat on by an update I was excited to see one!

The disheartening part now is that Paul seems distanced from the community. We got teasers and posts before, but not any more.
He has always said that the game will be built to his vision of what he wants.
But if we came up with a good idea, or bitched about something enough, he added it.
Hardcore & pvp to name a few. not sure why we wanted pvp so bad.

Knowing that d3 was going to be released brought a resurgence of d2 players.
And I think if we had some kind of teasers about updates, or some kind of Communication, it might cause a little resurgence.

I know a big Update would bring players back, even if it sucked people would want to try it. (not saying that it would suck)

I think alchemists should be able to equip warhammers, because of base str would still be useless for melee, but he could drag it behind him and use it for side mods
