Plates are pretty common for budget players or people who don't go beyond the first few classes. They can be used for the first 3 classes and the ee on a plate drastically reduces damage from monsters since they're more frequently melee than magic.

Well I am a budget player myself and don't use them, but that is just preference I guess. And budgetplayers may use them, but how many budget players go for near perfect?

For me it is a fail because any other kind of armor besides robe, any weapon, any charm would have been so many times more useful than this.

Edit: But let's not go full Rex here, I agree it can be used, but same stats on different items would be better, on that I guess nobody can disagree.

So you are level 45, are you going to use a level 30 item (Tier IX) that has +7 Mana Regen and laugh at the fact that the Tier IV can be used with the same amount of +X Regen??? ... wow... aren't you clever ing over the fact that you can use a Tier IV @ level 20 or 25 before using the same amount of +X Regen that can NOT be used until you are level 30???

Wow... what would it be like for a new player to get a 1fg item that is Tier IV (level 5) and can use it more often than a clown with a Tier IX item earlier with the same amount of +X Mana Regen.

You know, this is why I BAIT older players... they just think of the last levels based on what they have, they don't (DON'T) CONSIDER it if they were a NEWB... so... you are the NEWB in your statement.
