I know you just want the best for people but there is no flaw if players with subpar gear who can’t afford or are unwilling to buy better gear and/or change up their playstyle have trouble making it to master quest on an unlocked char during an event designed to make the game more challenging. Maybe we should ask Paul to change the name to “Novice Quest” and make it available at lvl 11 so we can start the complaint topic about the next change Paul didn’t need to make but made anyway for QoL. The reason we have set easy mode 1 at all is because some people asked for a way to turn easy mode off for first climb and Paul went a step further without being asked and gave us a toggle to turn it back on after first climb. Before that we had events including ones with monster difficulty (and monster difficulty was doing a lot more back then) but without easy mode being an option for any unlocked classes. Paul gave us easy mode, and now players are asking for easier mode. If I were Paul, I’d remove /set easy 1 altogether.


higher drop rates? i guess the overall total drop rate % is now like 2% lol more arcane/magical/etc stuff drops below lvl 20 than anything on higher levels. Hell its even hard to keep enough items to shrine with lol.

Drop rates are very high for this game right now. This is an insane drop rate now compared to how it was before the rewrite lol.

didnt u have a fuckton of potions on that character? and that was also before the rewrite im pretty sure

This topic has gotten off topic. Headhunter sucks and alchemist sucks worse than the previous classes which makes no sense. I know you normally don't play the game to MQ or progress in prof. But whole point of this topic is that something should be changed/reworked with classes and solo melee, but need to be careful here because he might just nerf casting and call it a day lol

That was before the rewrite so it was even harder. It was on a char with no potions drunk. Normal char, and my gear wasn’t as good back then :)

Before rewrite it was easier, almost all monsters that have bad abilities today is amped up quite heavily.
So getin to that point today is way harder.

This is going to be controversial, but I like the game where it's at.

I play both solo and groups.

Headhunter is an absolute beast in groups and slightly slower solo...but this game is no longer intended for solo play anyway.

Before the rewrite monsters were stronger but yes, abilities are definitely working better now. Easy mode wasn’t a toggle back then. It’s easier now in the sense that if you save up ability charges to one shot stunners and multi-hitters and use easy mode you won’t have as many issues as pre-rewrite when you’d be praying please not 3 EPs, please not 3 EPs lol

I would actually prefer 3 eps so i could actually use double cast in solo climbs .
