What I meant is why did you bring up D2? or talk about us leaving our friends/families, quitting our jobs/school? Or thinking drastically cutting the amount of people playing a now almost entirely multiplayer game was an ok thing.
My point was that whether you're okay with the changes or not doesn't mean anything to Paul, so there's really no need to complain at all. Does that make more sense? If you're bitching about some bug or error then he'll probably fix it in minutes. But if you're just upset at one of his changes then you're just wasting your time crying about it.
It's not like he will wake up tomorrow and see all the complaints and be like "Oh shit they're not impressed, I better change it back to how it was so people will stick around."
That's not going to happen. If you aren't happy with the game then sell all of your gear and wash your hands of it. If you aren't ready to move on with the rest of your life, then adjust your playstyle and continue to have fun with your friends on the game.

People need to vent; people should be allowed to also. Who wants a bunch of boring clones who say nothing out of line, and ruffle a few feathers? Your 10% should understand what i'm on about Jay.
I think it's natural to be upset that your capabilities as a player were altered by an outside force, but people don't actually think about half of the things they're complaining about. Obviously there will be nerfs. Obviously some people are going to be set back or slowed down. Ladder Slasher is 50% game and 50% business.
I'm sure he's aware of the ramifications on item values and item usefulness that his changes brought on, that's why he made them. People should ask themselves if it would be more fun to sit back and watch 5-10 people dominate the game in every facet, just because Paul won't nerf them.
How fun was it for the little guys in 2007 when Intrasiege and Empire dominated the game in every possible way and everyone else couldn't catch up? Not very.
