This is not correct the item still belongs to the person who sent it and should be returned upon owners discrection. this idea simply makes it easier to do so since we cant all log on the lendee's acct and send it back ourselfs this idea implents doing just that without logging into their account its a good idea its just sketchy because it has not been thought thoroughly throw about all the parameters that stoked has mentiond. Although this is not a needed feature of LS since lending gear is always at risk.

That is not correct, and the idea that that is how things work in the free market system of ladder slasher is why there have been quite possibly a thousand or more topics since the vault and guild transfer was implemented complaining about lost items. Prior to that, it was market only, vault didn't exist. Transferring between your own characters required a third party. You have no idea what you're speaking of. Right there, on the guild transfer page of the vault itself it says:

Quote
*** Please note that all transfers are at your own risk. This is a one way transfer, and the receiver is not obligated to give you anything in return.

This means, good sir, that when you transfer something, even to guild, it is solely at your own risk. Paul did not support transfer whatsoever, in any form, until the vaults. Even then, he made very clear, this is a convenience item to stop people from bitching, and because it goes the direction he invisions for his game. Transfer is fine between guild, but even then, whoever holds the item owns the item. It is not until you, your friendship, your trustworthyness, and your respect in the community comes to play that any of that other shit matters, and none of that is JSP monitored, nor is any of it JSP supported. At your own risk means something. Deal with it.

I have been playing ladder slasher since November 2006. In that time, I cannot come up with an accurate count of just how many times Paul, you know, njaguar, the guy who created LS, the guy who continues to update it, the guy who owns this site? Yeah, him. He's stated, such a large number of times that you obviously haven't been here long, TRANSFER IS NOT SUPPORTED. The ONLY exceptions he has made to this, EVER, is when he, via the vault, allowed transfer between your characters, and the transfer TO your guild mates. Beyond that, "he who has the gold, owns the gold".

your ignorant and stuck up because you have an 05 account stfu. of course transfer is not supported because it allows your items to be at the will of others and paul does not want to have to listen to kids cry about oh he stole my gear etc etc. get over yourself.

i couldn't believe it when he implemented transfers
the number of topics complaining about having safe transfers (started on the second day LS was introduced) was crazy, and each time he would say NO and close the topic!

just keep creating 100's and thousands of topics, polls etc and even the impossible and crap suggestions may be implemented lol

There. You said it, right there. When you transfer or sell an item, it is no longer yours. The system that is requested would be a complete change in the basic rule of the game since the day it was created.

My answer to that is, Paul has continuously said no for over three, and very nearly four years now, since the implementation of LS into the Donor forums for beta testing (I was playing D2 at the time and didn't particularly wish to take the time for it until many months later), and for good reason. This is a game not about you and your guild, or your guild leaders and their ability to fuel you. This is a game about strong individuals who can work as a team. And based upon what I've seen from your posts to date, I'd much prefer Paul, who has shit-poor gear, but earned every single scrap of it the hard way, without spending fg, and is willing to show, time and again, that it can be done, than somebody who says, "This is too hard, I need more help than I've gotten already" when LS is easier than this game EVER was prior to the graphics and interface overhaul. You don't know what grinding is, you don't know what difficult is, and you wish to have every scrap handed to you?

Again, if you can't trust your guild mates, then kick them. If you can, this is not needed. Get over yourself, whiney bastard. :)

they also said the reason they want this is because
4) Person could get in a car wreck and be hospitalized for 3 months & not return it on time

OMG, the first thing they think of when they hear someone has an accident is.... OMG i lent him a sword OMG i wont get it back for a while.....
or OMG he died CRAP i never get my mq sword back nooooo
and then they might think..... hmmm i hope he's ok o.O

man its only an item!... and its only 3 months o.O
and if he died, man its only a game! DEATH IS forever too! o.O

sadly i have only asked for help on a few occasions because i was short on 5-10 fg to buy gear and i have acquired all my gear by my own means and again you show your ignorance inferring that i have fallen into the crowd that makes all the cry forums about this game being to hard it is not at all hard to get fg and gear in this game it is by far the easiest way on this site to acquire mass amounts of fg so just stfu.

So wait, what you're telling me then, is that you wish this to be implemented so the timer can be a fee-based service, so that you can rent out your gear to people who's gear is even shittier than yours (no offense, just behing honest), and you have no risk involved. Rather than encouraging others to use their forum gold to permanently develop their game, you wish them to invest in you, to your gain, and their loss?

That's what I'm reading here. If you aren't in support of others leeching their way through JSP, then you're looking to turn a quick profit on a very wrong cause. Either way, it's to the detriment of the game, and the community.

Edit: Basically, you insult me, when I'm saying that the nature of the topic is regarding the supported lending of items, and it's not what the game is about, it's not supported, and it will have an overall negative impact on the game. A fee would make it even worse, if it were rental based. All methods of "loaning" have a tendency to make people weaker, not stronger, until they're already strong enough to stand on their own two feet regardless. You call me "ignorant and stuck up" in defense of an idea that even stok3d PM'd me and said my argument makes perfect sense, and who the fuck are you to talk shit at me? So seriously, if you wish to flame me, bring it to PM. Here, it's about the game, the direction it's going, and what kind of impact the game suggestion would have. Until you have something valid to contribute, stfu.
