Personally... I wouldn't, BUT, it does not mean that others won't.
On another note when selling white items, there should be a minimum fee implemented based on tier:
Tier I - Tier VII = 1fg and anything above 3fg.
The above is just an idea, 95% of people won't sell white tier items that are above level 25 because they could realistically well better items.
Note: those that already have great gear from level 25+ will sell white items to give them some funds for Vault or profit, thus making this idea ideal for themselves to make a profit. [People will come at me for this response, but, they know it is true for those that have elitist items]
I'd never sell whites "for profit". There's always the potential that something even bigger, badder, and better than ever could drop. Thing is, if you're doing 20-30 (or more) speed climbs over the course of a week, you clearly aren't spending much time welling. I know that when I'm faced with the prospect of either buying more vault slots to hold wellables, or just trashing them so I can continue to climb, I opt for the trashcan.
The ability to list them for 1fg so that at least somebody can potentially find something good is appealing. Also, for skillers, 1fg for a white that might yield 5-7 of their skilling iso (or just one, who knows?) is pretty sweet.
Mandatory increases on prices for higher tier items doesn't even make sense. If you value your whites more, just list them at higher. Frankly, I doubt there are many people who'd trade off white 45-55 items for 1fg anyhow. The market can determine itself, nn to set inflated floors.
