my reponse to the sword prof is that there is a big difference between dagger/sword hence the price difference - two 4 door classes with daggers vs one with swords, and those are the last classes that can use either. the reason i've been pushing your buttons in this thread is that there really isn't any good (aside from adding 5 fg to a 5 fg item). i know "why" you want to keep the general forum buzzing, but unless you gain posterity within the top community, you have to know that these are just empty threads.

Number of reasons why ranks did not go up much in 10 years, NERFS, 20 player community when Events were removed, other games and their events, and other things etc.

My error using the game mechanics terminology: +X% Monster Difficulty in the initial statement, a sore subject that got tweaked in Events, now it hardly even comes up. Miss the good ol +94% Monster Difficulty events, and to think, I used to hate them before drop Quality / Quantity (QQ) was introduced with buffed monsters, you know, before the Events were removed and then re-instated.

What prosperity and top community? You live by the Pyramid system, am I misreading you now... "TOP COMMUNITY", what top community? what categories make a person a member of this so called "Top Community", how is this community divided? Yup, next it will be Racial bickering from Hardcore vs Softcore... same mechanics woot and higher playerbase governing the way people are suppose to build their characters... what next. don't make suggestions about the game because it conflicts with my beliefs.

I think your wording is a bit outdated and belongs in the 19th Century.

Why don’t you use one of your hc mules and try to get to lvl 25 using only the stick the game gives you and whatever items you find. Then see how “simple” it is for a new player with NO experience in this game to try and do the same thing.

all i'm saying is, there are people who have influence on game changes and those who don't. the fact that you don't see this tells me why you continue to make threads. also "posterity" (PAH STARE IH TEE) is high standing within said community. the fact that literally zero of your suggestions are developed/considered also tells me why none of your ongoing threads create anything except flames. no "bigger picture" in your ideas. like this thread.

My Bufcore character is still around and only used Bufcore style. It is simple enough when there is a bufcore thread to actually view how people play the game and compare items they find and use as they climb: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=81077347&f=272&o=770

To be honest, it should be one of the links that you give a new gamer as well as character building advice, The posts there are very helpful and the items people use that are self found and work shows them that it can be done.

But then, your vote is welcome.

I continue to make threads because they are just suggestions, how they are responded to has nothing to do with what changes will be made to the game.

Minimaps (capped the size due to Datis), Monster difficulty at higher levels (increased due to Datis), Nerf to drop quantity/quality when a high level character was inserted into the group and killing off monsters (again, Datis), Nerf to experience gain of high level characters in low level games killing lower monsters (Datis again), this is only a minor amount of changes, profs got a nerf because it was abused, damage return got fixed, well items sellable because of community, increased Objectives rewards because of bickering... many people have influenced the game to where it is now, it may NOT be how they wanted, but then it helped.

It is funny over time how many "rehashed" suggestions appear to this day that came from me & others. Even in the latest Bob888 QOL thread.

Hey, maybe it is me, but some of the posts/replies are from those that have become complacent in LS (keyword is "some"). But then, who knows?

Have you become complacent in the game? Your build? Do you test anything these days? like;

The diminishing returns of dropped items from level 35 upwards.
Damage taken based on the armor type from level 1-35 with and without EE? (Stat gear / hard points Vitality &/or Intelligence?)
Taken note of the amount of 0 hits from level 1 to 55 without using EE heavy armor?
What about the consistency of the damage taken using Medium / Light armor types without EE?
Quantity of hit points & mana replenished of shrined items.?

Yup, I am ridiculous like that, that is why when I test things out, I basically go overboard. Hence the reason I asked for the base formula of armor types excluding Enhanced Effect not so long ago. Hard to test these out, but visually and consistency has been educational.

Dang, never thought I would get 5 Hell Yes votes... most encouraging.

Generally speaking, if monsters were twice as hard during level 1-10, it has been pointed out by replies by some that it wouldn't make a difference, with that said abundantly, then maybe increase it to level 35.

No, because those tests would not improve anything about my playing experience. I have a general base of knowledge that is in NO way harmful if I don't know the exact shrine % of an item at any given level, EE additions to my warlock's armor who can heal on his solo explore to MQ with 3 ep's at 80, nor is it worth my time to test drop rates with data. That isn't a game. That's a spreadsheet. Anyone with (or without) a job has NO desire to run these tests which no one will use. We play the game instead and roll with the punches. What is even more repulsive, is the fact that your "data and research" benefits no one. Not even yourself.

 guess I pushed your buttons instead now that you are coming up with this excuse (refer blue comment you made). Hey, my guides maybe old, but everyone knows it works, and the information helped others to improve on theirs, and the data I collected with others gave a ton of insight to things people even try to use to argue with me about... You are funny though.

Anyone who spends as much time playing as "ladder climbers" will know how to play a simple game as this, and enjoy their time. Again, your tests benefit no one who actually plays this game. Has ANYONE ever stopped to think "HMMMMM I HAVE 5 SHRINEABLES, I WISH I HAD HOURS OF RESEARCH TO HELP ME DECIDE WHICH IS OPTIMAL?" No. One solo climb is enough to determine that high rarity + tier will probably overheal me, while a T1 magical will give me 10% of my hp/mp. You don't need to record it to know and understand literally the simplest element of this game. Also, calculating drop rates for your own account is far too small a sample size to determine ANYTHING. We only see ~10% of notable drops in the sexy/average/fail threads. Your own data is unique. Not applicable to anyone else.

No.

Still getting some proficiency at the lower levels would be nice either way with or without monster difficulty.
