Just to keep this post on topic. The original purpose of this thread was to learn about HC and how the game is played when you only get one life. I received some great advice and help along the way and have met some really great people in the HC community. I will stop this post if and when I make it to mq and post up a summary of my climb. I hope my experience on HC has shed some positive light on the HC community and it's players. I also hope that it encourages others to try HC and your community will continue to grow with new members. I have already decided to do another hc climb after this one and the main reason is b/c of the great people I have met along the way. If the HC community continues to encourage new members and help them learn the game I believe the # of HC slashers will grow.

I will try to refrain from posting again until I hit mq. Good luck to all and THANKS again for all that have contributed to this post and my experience on HC.

Thanks to All for posts! I learned a lot on my 1st climb. I FDF which was a godsend IMO as others need to pass. All those that bet on death pay up pls.

Summary of my climb:

Decent gear low lvls
You need a little fg
You need to be humble
Make friends and be nice
Have thick skin
Be willing to grind it out
High lvl gear is hard to find....wanted to find some and sell it cheap but I never found any

The HC community for the most part is VN. I never once met a bm person in the game. Exploring is scary but you need to know who you are lvling with. If the group is uber like my ambush group you just ride the train and hope for the best.

Thanks to all for the runs and finding a group make all the difference in the world. I hope more decide to join the hc community as there are some great people on this realm. To all the friends I have met/made along the way THANK YOU!!!!

I will be back to hc soon.....off to lvl a sc guy to get within range of guildies for mq run tomorrow night...
