And every update is a good update frankly I am getting sick and tired of your negative posts. It's stuff like this that is the main problem to Hardcore you scare people away before they even joined.

LS is serious business tbh, look at people that are sexy did this by either investing ridiculous amounts of time or resources or $.

This does nothing but remove the small item pool there is.

50ee weapons would then sell for *k+ fg and all the same issues would remain.

i DO realize that wipeing all the gear is a lame idea..
but unless people WITH gear start selling it off for a huge loss.. there wont be that many new players on hc.

as you see on sc.. without alot of cheeper gear avalible.. there wont be as many slashers.

as for xxx mq's + decent setup and not wanting to do it without gear.. .. werent you here when hc had no gear.. at the beginning??

how many mqs did datis do?? i dont remember off hand.. but a hell of alot.. and i do remember racing him when we all had no gear.. same as any other slasher that was around from the begining..
i know you dont like looking at the past.. but it was accually fun to play this when no one had gear.. and everyone was grinding thier asses off in the arena..

but then again.. your right .. every update isnt all bad.. just ask all the GG slashers that quit playing.. they will tell you how much they enjoyed them

Yeah of course I started with nothing as well, but you progress and get better with every click? And it was fun for you maybe to 12 hour mq's but not for everyone

Well I personally think a better solution would be to make the new muteing skill somehow *connected* to the guild so more people can help/take over. This is probably the only way we'll see muteing come back in one way.

Of course this idea isn't perfect and has many flaws as well.

You guys are making it harder then it is.

It is simple. There are less players because of updates and many people have left entirely or went to softcore.

Only 1/10 people would play hardcore because they have material attachment to their gear and only few live under the guise of playing HC for the risk involved.

The only way this would be fixed, if a update got them more into it.

The idea of guilds cating together is the best thing you are going to get. As far as public catas, it will be there but not in high amounts even close to softcore.

I guess I might as well officially throw in my .02 given that I've respondend to a few other people's posts.

Currently, the supply of ridiculous items on HC has decreased. This isn't a terrible thing. I personally LIKE that 200ee items are rare. They should be! I think people want HC to be too much like SC with goldy 200+ee items coming out of their ears. It creates a mentality that perfectly usable items are insufficient. I remember slashing with 40ee weapons and thinking how great it was. Then, finally being able to upgrade to a 75ee or two! Heaven!

1 thing has changed since then. Those 40 and 50 ee items are even more usable now with the catacomb updates and the ability to create a well rounded party. It's also faster than soloing with much better gear. If people could accept this and not come in with a SC gear mentality, I think a lot of the complaints would disappear and players would be happier in general.

Everything is a balance. Before the muting update, we were headed down a path that led to godlies everywhere and no value to anything but the very best of finds. Currently, the balance has shifted (a bit too far to the other side perhaps) and we're losing significantly more high end gear than can be replaced. Finding that optimum balance is a difficult thing to do, but I think we're heading in the right direction and getting closer.
