I'd be more than willing to bet the biggest reason that this ironman isn't getting as much activity is because of the 100fg entry fee.
Unless I'm mistaken that is a much higher entry fee than the previous ironman tourneys, and on SC many people have amazing spawnable low level gear to play with when there's no risk of dying with it permanently. That price and the thought of what gear is available to some people should be enough to discourage most applicants imo.

Actually you are correct about the fee.. but the difference I thought was.. this is SC, and you will not lose any gear you happen to purchase. See the HC tourneys might have been cheaper, but you spent much more on the gear and lost it! Food for thought mate. But I see where your coming from.. though applicants should not turn away considering, they get to keep their gear this tourney!
