Looking at tha Samurai, the obvious weapons allowed would be sword and dagger. That fits the general Samurai stereotype.
Historically, it would make sense to have our "Ladder Slasher Samurai" staff equippable as well. One of the greatest Samurai
in history, Miyamoto Musashi, won a number of his duels in his life weilding a Jo (staff). Why not make this option available in
our simple flash game? I know there are a great number of slashers who would love to see such a magnificent weapon be
unseable by more than just the Rogue (how many people honestly start out with a melee rogue??) and Monk, a class which the majority
of people decide to use daggers on, simply because it's cheaper than investing in a staff set for just ONE class..

I, personally, would love to see this implemented. It's much easier, in my opinion, than putting in a NEW staff equippable class,
like has been suggested so many times lately. Please cast your votes. If you vote no, please explain why.
Hopefully, we can see our beloved Samurai wielding a staff soon.

Thank you for looking.

As far as I know Miyamoto Musashi did not wield a Jo. He developped a twoswordstyle called the Niten Ichi-ryu.
He, however, was defeated in a duel against Gennosuke who wielded a Jo.

There is some debate over whether it was a Jo or a Bokken.. no one knows for sure..
Some say it was a Jo, others say it was a bokken carved out of an oar..

Either way, it's a relatively similar concept. ;)

I voted yes Just in hopes it would raise Staff prices  no way would i ever pick my staves over my swords but i believe this would make it far better for making staves worth more the only realivent char to use staves on is Monk Yes there's a rouge but you Get ee staves cause they are cheap then you are fucked as soon as you pass your mq this would bring a far better balance for the newer players

Thank you much. :D
That is the best way of explaining the point I'm trying to get across.
By the time most of the new players make it to pally, chances are they'll have enough gold
to invest on clubs or axes, so making staves useable by feeder+Samurai would, in the end,
keep new players in. :D

The problem is that it would also affect caster staves. Not gonna go into detail about it, but I'm sure you can figure out why that might be an issue.

As far as I'm concerned, it really wouldn't..?
Please elaborate.

Heh it may increase the value of Staves a little bit but it shouldn't have that much of an affect Not to many people cast on Sammy the majority either hybrid or pure melee So it wouldn't have that much affect for intel staves So please elaborate more on what you mean on why this would be more of a problem, because i do not see it.....

Staves are usable by mages, monks, warlocks, alchs, and if this goes through, samurai. 5 classes that are all viable as casters that can use the same wep? The market for int daggers would drop off by a significant amount for anyone that plans ahead even a little bit. I could be wrong, I'm just trying to think of every side-effect this might have :P (I do like the idea of staves [among other items] being more viable for a wider range of classes)
