statements like "qd is especially good for heavies" are nonsense. it effects all weapons the same. all weapons double the speed when qd triggers

I'll agree that it's nonsense, but not for the reason you posted. There is no limit (hidden cooldown) on how often QD can proc, nor is QD normalized for heavy weapons, so QD is a better stat for normal weapons.

I didn't read all through this topic, because I'm sure there's tons of useless posts I don't want to spend my time reading, but incase it hasn't already been said:

Heavy weapons swing half as fast as lights, HOWEVER if you pay attention to his example and notice the EE is less than half the EE on the light, so if you have the same amount of EE on a heavy as you do a lights, you will do MORE than double the damage, so in all actuality you have more DPS with a 200% EE level 55 heavy, then you would with a 200% EE level 55 light. This makes heavys not only better for getting higher damage with single hits, but you don't have to get as high of EE to match the light, meaning they aren't as hard to find. Of course they can only be found in MQ, but it still helps that you don't need as high of EE. With 126 EE on a heavy you'll do the same DPS as 226 on a light, the difference is obvious that heavy is a better choice IF you can find a full set with decent EE.

Sorry if this has already been said, but I really am not going to read 60 some odd posts to check if it has.
