you cant from ftp, it can be only installed through ssh
so you have to ask the hoster to install it

oh damn thats crazy so the hosting i use is hostmonster
do i have to like email them or they prolly have it installed? idk thats different for me
how would i go about seeing if it is installed use the info.php

juts contacted the hosting site rep and he said its installed into the site and stuff

but now when i do that it has multi errors

i just uploaded the one u have there to the server and this is what it said

Fatal error: Class 'Imagick' not found in /home2/phluxoro/public_html/keefer7/sigs/test.gif/index.php on line 74

i looked at it and idk what to do with that i havent ever used this kind of code

The administrator of this website has to chmod 777 the /temp directory of net2ftp.

Also this is my first time getting it. does any1 know what happen?

Normally, CHMOD is about acces rights of the directories. 777 by head is giving read,write rights etc. (everything i believe). I thought that you at least needed CHMOD 755 to make this tutorial work.

Any idea if this works on 000webhost.com with their free web hosting? i downloaded your compressed file, uploaded all of them to a directory in my own webspace, and upon calling the file it does nothing.



my webspace is jlhromeo.netau.com and i made a folder called dynamic, and bg.png is in there as well as the other three files.

when trying to link it as jlhromeo.netau.net/dynamic/bg.png well... you can see the result.

even uploading your script without modifying it, i still get same result.

three cheers for your nice work, hoping i can get it working as well.



EDIT: it appears if i upload it to their default /public_html directory, it works. there is a default.php script file in there, not sure if that has anything to do with it. but, uploading it to my own created directory does NOT work, and using their default DOES work...

strange... anyone else use 000webhost? could use some tips, thanks!
