Rex you simply dont understand how to efficiently use xp gain to your advantage is all Im getting out of these posts.

XP gain gets you to the good explore lvls faster instead of wasting hours in the low lvl trash mobs. For your case 2x those hours because you dont use regular wep. There is literally no reason to be mfing lvl 1-25.. what are you gonna find a super gfg lvl 5 item you will use all of 5 levels? Something worth like 500-1kfg MAX isnt worth the time spent espcially when you could be hunting high level mobs and still find more of that low lvl junk than the stuff people care about.

Whistle to 35 or so and start exploring where items that matter can drop.

Don't get me wrong, drops are secondary to me. First & foremost, prof with weapons (heavy) and healing is my goal.

All you have to do to realize this, is take a look at ALL heavy weapons (HC) where basically all 16 of my characters are Ranked, shit, even my Bufcore character is #2 (spears) & #5 with only 7 MQ climbs (2 rerolls): https://ladderslasher.d2jsp.org/index.php?a=3&h=1&t=1&c=8

I don't play as long or as fervently as I used to, I fall asleep, lay down and play the game with 1 hand clicking icons/windows... I don't care about time / speed of leveling... Click, click, click... each click I do is either 0 or 1 prof point, regardless of speed or full group.

Each click is either 0 or 1 prof point ... oh, and if Rank 5 in a heavy weapon already (or even Rank 10) ... I would just use a different type of heavy weapon with a Lower Rank during those first 5-10 levels to get some prof points in that amount of time.

Experience gain is nothing, whistling are for people on speed (junkies) and Guild points are just for E-peen since they do nothing for your character build at all.

EDIT: don't get me wrong, those mods are great for people that play the game for those (their) reasons are all good, but don't put me down because I have different goals to playing LS (I know you aren't, but ton of others do)

Insults people that know when and where to use whistle then goes on to say dont put him down after he just did the exact same thing.

Rex you're fried af. You get prof literally every level of the game. There is literally no sane-logical reason to waste your time at low levels unless you're picking up the quests quick then moving on. Drops can be secondary tertiary or bottom of the fucking list. Theres still no reason.

Your interpretation to my post is definitely interesting.

Your perception of me posting:
#1 "Experience gain is nothing..."(as an insult to people totally incorrect)
#2 "whistling are for people on speed (junkies)..." (identifies you think that Speed indicates the use of drugs, whereas it can also mean those that love to RACE)
#3 "Guild points are just for E-peen since they do nothing for your character build at all..." (is this an actual insult?)

Try harder next time, they are not insults at all, you just took one look at it and interpreted it that way, yet none of it was an insult.

EDIT: the only time you get either 0 or 1 prof point by each click. So click faster is your only comeback.

#2: I posted it previously... compared 2 of my characters that done the same amount of MQ

This is a comparison of prof gain Solo only... 1 using my EE gear vs Bufcore character.

Bufcore iZZi Kills: 31,157 MQ Attempts: 7 = 81,000 prof points (round down)

Monk DDAwe Kills: 27,667 MQ Attempts: 7 = 26,000 prof points (round down)

Yup... 50,000+ more prof points... 'what is that again'.... 50,000+ more prof points, and just under 4k more kills.

Way to go Rex you’re only a decade late on the use shitty gear to maximize prof per wave. Who cares how many profs you gained per attempt? Guess what, once the ladder resets nobody will know how many attempts those characters had. How many rerolls on the buf or did you just bail on the wave after it stopped giving prof? How does that make one character better than the other? You don’t make any sense.

What you just said sound like you saying that if You somehow had 30 fire prof on 200 attempts compared to my 33 fire prof over almost 500 real climbs that somehow means something. All I see is a potentially multi-seasonal character vs one made this season OR someone having used absolute trash gear grinding strictly for prof under some misguided sense that less attempts to get the prof rank actually makes that better.

Same Season
Same amount of MQ's
Only 4k monster kill difference (yup, both have re-rolled twice)
BUT: 50,000 + Difference in prof gain in comparison using my EE items vs my Bufcore character with self found gear.

Save yourself the hassle, it does NOT matter if you are in a full group &/or using your best gear setup... it is all about the Clicks, each time you push the button. Your only come back it to click faster.

EDIT: Well, you can no longer hunt Prof like the old way anymore (attack monster, get max prof, leave cata / remake and continue), well, that was before the intro of waves for prof gain. Now as Bigheaded tested not long ago, you have to clear that wave before prof count resets to 0/10

Q: What is the difference between a Skiller (fish/cook/mute etc) to a Prof Hunter?
A: The Weapon/Cast prof hunter kills monster for a maximum of 10 prof points per wave whereas skillers get way more prof points in the same time as a Weapon/Cast Prof Hunter (excluding the instant mute thingy).

Basically they both take up time, so what if I don't kill in one hit for either 0 or 1 prof point.

I’m well aware the reason the buf has so much is it’s using shit. You max prof every wave because your character is actually that weak. Over the same timeframe we would get the about the same amount of prof (if you didn’t use heavies) but if you look at time spent at what levels you would see mine in the high levels more than the lows. Better drops, more prof per wave due to monster strength, and for those of us that get high profs instead of 3-4 on 16x you actually have to be high level to get prof to start with.

Just throwing it out there but if you get good gear you don’t need prof ;)

I thought prof hunters usually have more than 7 prof in any character. I have 6 hc climbs and have 5 sword prof. If your goal is prof, I feel like that's a cop out for something else. What is your real goal, spending hours a day here if you highest prof is 7?

Better gear make runs faster and fun for 99.99% of all players, no argument here. I am the 0.01% that would rather build the character to be stronger instead of relying on gear :P

This is where everyone makes the continued mistake, "time", and get caught up with "speed". It is amount of clicks. You do 10,000 clicks vs 10,000 clicks and gain X amount of prof points. So you may get to level 68 or MQ in 10,000 clicks and I may only get to level 32, hence speed doesn't matter for me personally, especially since I am not as active as I use to be.

I only use Heavy weapons, but having 10 more total ranks is noticable.

6 Battle / 6 Spear / 5 Heal / 3 Focus / 2 Club / 1 Wild : 23 Total Ranks iZZi
4 Long / 3 Focus / 2 Battle / 2 Pole / 2 Wild : 13 Total Ranks DDAwe

What is your questioning?

Excluding dead/deleted characters that had higher ranks than current characters, and more than 3 year Hiatus from game, Your statement seems flawed. If you are talking about 1 character with X Rank and so on, I play all 16 characters, and though they are mules, some of them are still there from the Previous season when I only considered them a mule. Hence I compared this season characters.

But for Events, I definitely love the mod:

Nobody but you is confused on speed vs clicks. Groups are more clicks per unit time and you dont group... so that must make you a pretty shitty prof hunter...
