This makes sense to me, sounds like a better solution to the items list.
It would be nice to see the "best" item(s) listed even if they are banned...but a *note alongside the users name would clarify the situation.

wow... very nice!! i just did about 75 wells and best i got was a 50ee lvl 20 axe, almost as good imo
