:D we dont know how they are selected, so we can just assume it is random. Getting the same event 8 times in like the last 12 events doesnt mean the randomization is not working.. it's like playing lottery, or simply doing a mq.
I can assume some events are weighted, because it really seems the best ones spawn less. I should analyze the data, it could be just bad luck even in this case, especially with md/md base, which I am sure used to spawn a lot in the past.

They definitely aren’t random. They have spawn rates that Paul can adjust just like he did for monster difficulty. When he lowered the cap he also specifically stated he reduced its chance to spawn going forward. I don’t think there has been a single instance of MD spawning since he broke the stat.

That alone tells you he chooses how often things are spawning as events and means he is responsible for 3 weeks of nearly constant 101 events.

That’s why weighting them as the spawn would be a good idea. Give something that hasn’t come up in a while better and better chances until it does.

I'd assume it is random, but some events are a lot more easier to get (faster skill, + skill exp, exp cap, prof, tc ones, 101, etc). But the choice of them is still random. The same happened in the past with constant md events. People just remember better things that they dont like. We cant assume anything about how it works, since we dont have access to the code. Tbh I'd like to know which pseudo algorithm he uses :P

This is a solution, an alternative is the division of the mod into 3 different pools (skilling, climbing and farming) and pick 2 events in each of these pools. I think people would care a lot less/not notice if there is a 101 event together with +eps or +item quality

They already are weighted is what the issue is. The thing is the weighted rates are static. They need to be dynamic based on length since the last time the mod was chosen.

Explain to me what the +34% to experience cap actually means? I'm leveling faster as a pure solo slasher or is it only group based?
This should help me complete another solo climb. Ha! I'm a little tired though. Slept a lot. Got my flu shot yesterday. Pacing myself.
