Yeah I saved all my gear and def going try to keep upgrading and finding more gear. I haven't found out what magic find importance is, maybe ii will on this run and try it out. Trying a no don't rule on mobile is hard because you have to spam click the door for it to leave so I have to be careful especially later when the enemies just crack you lol.

Thank you! Def going to give samurai a play but want to farm a little more star building up sword collection.

Ahh, playing on phone and "Death Farming" on Soft Core will benefit your one(1) of your character(s) at around level 60-69... this character is not interested in prof, it is only interested in farming "Evil Presence(s)" and doesn't care about death... same with a phone user HUNTING items to improve their build and/or sell off to make Forum Gold on Soft Core.

Just re-invent your play style to benefit from the game mechanics... I hope this helps you choose how you play the game for the purpose of playing this game. :D

That's true I never thought of that. You know how you gain levels in a proficiency? My axe proficiency is rank 1, would I lose that if I died enough? I would hate to lol but if I kept it that wouldn't be a bad idea at all.

So does anyone have any advice on filling maps? Earlier I got teleported to the opposite side of the made twice and got mad and quit lol. A lot of times I'll clear a section and have to retread a lot of ground. Any pointers here would be much appreciated.

Note: once you gain a rank, you will NEVER go below that even if you die, you only lose a % prof based on the points you gained after a Rank... If Rank 10, and trying to get to Rank 11, you only lose the prof points in between Ranks, you won't go below Rank 10 after reaching it. (this goes for all ranking)

Ahh, hmm, I can only talk about myself here.

I started HC... died too much because I wanted to test the game for myself. Then I went SC to give me more experience to the game mechanics... okay, I think I had the same values as you... Proficiency hunter, eventually on SC I made a character with the goal of NOT dying as much because I wanted Higher proficiencies to the all weapons and charms I was using (note, I actually deleted 3 of these characters before my pride and joy explained in the next paragraph).

Actually my main character was damn good... but I was not that satisfied with Rank 22 Sword and MANY other double digit Rankings with only 22 deaths total... I created Hardcore characters and sold off my gear after gifting the best gear to my guild members and deleted all SC characters. Shit, I have also died a lot on HC with double digit Prof Ranking characters and have deleted them.

Okay that's good to know ty. Makes dying on SC a little easier to handle. I always look at hardcore and I love the idea but it's just not really for me lol, I space out too much which means I die a lot lol. It's always you went and did your own thing that's the fun of playing a game :D

What happens on HC when you die? Do you have to delete character and gear, go back to level 1 keep gear, etc ? Beautiful Paladin you have that Is awesome. Wishing you the best luck !!

How do you do maps in SP? Do you complete all of them? Any tips you can share to doing them ? Like this one I have to backtrack through the whole map have 3 small areas spread out not sure if it's worth going back through.

Hardcore and Death... the items you are using at the time of death are gone (don't want to die at level 55+, you lose MQ gear), as are your prof rankings etc. So... you delete the character to make a new one. (oh, game changes from the past to now... past: 16 max HC characters... Now: only 8 maximum, and deleting previous HC/SC characters can NOT be re-created if you already have maximum of 8 characters on either core).

Now... you said "Map's" in your last paragraph and mentioning "Flash" you find yourself transported to a new location and have to back track explored squares etc, etc and blah.

Okay... "Catacomb" & "Map" are two different things when exploring, yet, to explore, you have to uncover the "maze" ... As confusing as it sounds, you will get the gist of this explanation.

When you enter a catacomb and complete the maze, your reward is a Map.
When you activate/enter a Map and complete the maze, your reward is a Treasure Chest

Now... as for "flash" and finding yourself in a new location... I have to say, get used to this, this is one part of the game that is FUCKING ANNOYING for all players. Now, if your game play is an EP hunter and find yourself back tracking 20+ spaces, just exit game and create a new one.

Not sure what I mean... I play solo, but before entering the Catacomb, I always "Create game" and select "Guild Only" ... so then I can just "leave game" if spun in a bad place, and then create another game before entering the catacomb... repeat, rinse.

Oh okay my bad I meant catacomb xD I was trying to get maps. I guess I can just focus on EP hunting, I was trying to get good maps to hunt for items in there. I'll probably try to find a mix in the middle where if the catacomb looks easy then complete it if not just roll out , like you said. Definitely annoying to be teleported around.

And that's crazy about hardcore. I don't see myself playing it lol I would be pissed as hell if I died and lost all my gear especially at 55+. Still though, makes you accomplishment that much better.

All good... to be honest and the way I play and perceive this game... you can hunt maps when you are level 1 to 30... and if lucky, the Event has "No Trap Door" and your character is around the level 30-35 mark and "create" game and complete the catacomb size by say level 58 and hopefully the Map drop is LEVEL 25-55 instead of a crap map Tier I.

I is just fucking random "Map" drop from a "Catacomb" run... shit you could be level 1 and complete a Catacomb and the "Map" is a Tier III with super modifiers. Or you can start/create a catacomb at level 10 and when it is completed you are like level 15 and the Map drop is Tier VIII (level 25) with great modifiers.

Basically... when creating a game @ level 30(35) and "No Trapdoor" Event, this is your personal "Cap" to fully exploring a catacomb for a Map or other reason.

Hope the above made sense... there is no benefit to fully explore a catacomb created at level 45+ (shit, sometimes even level 30+)

Oh wow I did not know that. I thought it was like equipment the higher level you are the higher the reward possibility. That's so weird, so ideally you want to be lower level and complete all the maps. After hearing this, at lv 36, I probably won't be too pressed about completing them. Thanks :D

Hang on... I maybe misinterpreting what you mean.

Maps: These have a Monster Cap level, and there are Diminishing returns when completing them at higher levels.

Catacomb: When you start/create this at a certain level, the Size of the Maze is based on your character level to COMPLETE it to obtain the "Map" on the last square... HOWEVER... if you fall into a Trap Door (dependent on the Event Modifier having "No Trap Doors" make it easier at times)

Map: Has a Monster Cap level... Tier I = cap at level 15... anything above Tier I increases by 5 levels. So, Tier II = 20 Cap etc... BUT... if the Map has +X Monster Cap level (1-20), this makes the maps even more valuable with OTHER valuable mods... or for your own personal use.

Note: I decided to stop here... I want to give you a chance to actually experience maps... Patched / Rawhide etc... a Patched Map has a monster level cap of 15, and the monsters level etc increase based on your character level and creation of a Catacomb or a Map maze... I can only say... start exploring Patched maps from level 12 to 15 because the maze size is small... with more game play, you will get more of an understanding... note... a "Map" created game DOES NOT have any Trap Door Effect etc.
