ive looked at HC best thread and some of the gear available is comparable to that on sc

Because on hardcore you put stats into vitality to ensure survival. And the gear is still not comparable between cores. Yes there is some nice gear on hc, but nowhere near softcore still

big difference:
exp unspawns with useful stats
you stat all str or dex on sc
gear is comparable in stats, but i think for example there are 50- 200ee+ axes on sc and 1 or 2 on hc
and almost everyone stats vita on hc

We've done under 90 min MQs on HC

Never really tracked it cuz idc but it's been done

And the difference is that a group consists of 5 ppl and yes comparable gear exists but not in the quantity of sc

Also people on HC don't really mix between guilds to do speed climbs

It's not like patl ever Pmed me and Ed and said lets combine to try to set a speed record lol

I remem Cole/Lance/etc from D2 did some speed runs last season (or was that mirror maze). I can't remem and maybe you were in that group tj

we called them climbs.

but yeah I never kept track of times (I know when we hit hour marks, but that's about it), that was more Lance's thing to freak out about. I'd agree with everything TJ said. Safety will always trump speed on HC imo.

1. Not everyone has exp unspawns, and further, most unspawns that have exp included only have 6-10 top (there are a few higher, but not many, sorry), which means that it's only comparable to tier III-V stat. No big deal.

2. I stat very similar on softcore to what people do on hardcore. Then again, I solo, and like being able to go from one 3 wave EP right into another without shrining.

3. 50 200+ ee axes? Really? Please link to all of them. A dozen, maybe 20. But 50? Wow, I must've been gone a while.

4. You already covered this, but I stat vita. int as well, on my melee scale wearing chars (I don't bother with int on the robe chars, because robe takes care of the def already).

Shouldn't assume that just because some people don't use balanced characters on softcore, that all people use imbalanced chars on softcore. Some of us, especially those who prefer solo more than anything else, yet don't necessarily have "perfect" gear, like to have solid runs with excessively small chance of dying.




Funny, but far as I'm concerned, safety trumps speed on SC too.

i heard about people on softcore not even using healcharms on " climbs"
so why we talk about safety? the game is way too easy it seems.


and about speed... well, i prefere to look for evils, make highlevel quests and 2.5 hours climbs . instead of running black like a stupid for a day...
but everyone should do what he feels like
