The group I was in was more than capable of doing it... then 1 suggests "NG" and leaves, then
another follows... what is up with that... we were level 39 and had more than enough abilities
and dmg to clear them... just funny really.

Note to Sneaky comment b4... it is alot faster to clear... solo'd it @ level 17 and finished him in less
than 5 minutes using Melee / Healer

I've been in groups where the NEW shamans were easy.

I've been in groups when the NEW shamans were of moderate difficulty.

I've been in groups where I don;t want to waste my time b/c after TRYING for a few minutes, it's going to be a waste of time.
(yes, I've been in a few games where trying to complete shamans was going to take waaaaay longer than it should)
....so yes, a ng is prefered...especially with my next reasoning listed below*

*I've been in groups where I've already competed shamans (but the game maker hasn't)....read above as those three situations will come into play. (but especially when it's going to be ANOTHER time waster)

ofc, the earlier (lvl-wise) you can complete shamans...the better. They get more difficult @ higher lvls.

The game is gear based. Read the situation and adapt.

Personally whenever I reach MQ (99% of the time), shamans is completed on my objective list. It's not that hard, but sure...I suppose not EVERY group is capable of completing it it a timely fashion.

imo..sneaky is harder ! ( takes longer )

In some games they are actually impossible as the DPS of the players is not focused (such as samurais using multihit), if all players had abilities which could focus on one then sure i expect we could manage it.

So as there is 7 of them, 6 heals (1 of them is often attacking) per second, compared to 4-5 damaging hits isn't going to be particularly easy.


I am not sure every group can actually kill the shamans.

If I am in the group, I will fight 20 hours. Fuck them. Who the hell are the Shamans to me? Same with Sneaky. Fuck them all. They're nothing. My own guild mates resort to kicking me from the team before leaving so that I can't do sneaky...

My question is... If you accept that there is a mob you cannot defeat... Why do you play?

shamans are harder to kill.. or lets say they take longer.. but at the end they arent harder because you dont get attacked much as they are healing eachother

In a world where DPS and speedy climbs are key, why waste several minutes on shamans if your group isnt set up to kill them easily?
I have no problem with a group passing them up if it is deemed better for their climb.
Go ahead and make suboptimal choices based on pride tho. My minuscule chances of ever resetting the ladder just went up a bit.

i love the new A.I. n shamans but if i already have the quest done (usually by 20 give or take 5lvl) im not patient enough to do it again at 35, i wanna mq and i can get lvls in that time,

No you just say remake, and rejoin new game, how long does that take, 10 seconds?

Are you saying everyone who does not have 120ee+ items to give up now?

Silly question really.

You consider when the group you are in, sometimes with newer players in your group it isn't possible. So you just wait until you have players who do have the items and kill them then.
