I woulnt recommend this. We can just grind it out together and find some gear.

I cut out a bit and left the most relevant and true stuff.
You have to play HC in ways that eliminate the possibility of death, which is pretty much possible no matter what gear you have. It's mostly an issue of recognizing and accepting what has to be done to play like that based on where you are with the game.

i scanned some of these posts, but didnt read them all...

hc is a journey and takes a long time to build up gear if you start from nothing.

its good that people want to give items to you because you are a nice guy and everything, but the game is no fun when you are handed stuff.

let him live the adventure that some of us did when hc was young, give him advice and what not, but dont play the game for him.

I know that any time i find a usable but not actually sellable item i throw it on the market for an fg or 2 for the new players.... I know my guildy sandingman1 also has a mule of gear that he keeps for when he finds a new player... I know not everyone does it but there are a number of players that do.... I also try to allow them into groups of mine as long as it doesnt make the group dangerous as in a person joining a group of me soloing with a mage or a melee that has no tank potential at high lvls...

I wouldnt count all the veteran players as unwilling to help but obviously there are those that are...

Also if any new person is looking for help I am always willing to answer questions

Re read thru most of the posts and cant find anywhere where i asked for gear other than start selling some high lvl low ee weapons or armor. Yes I was given some very nice gear by TJ but really what am I going to do with a 37 str robe or a hm charm when I have no mage or guardian and no heals. I think I made a decent name for myself on sc....it might be "noob" but I am a nice "noob". Yes I was given some fg by my 1st guild when I was waiting for d2 reset and couldnt have made it to mq without it. I seriously doubt most of you would re-roll a 56 toon b/c you had no fg or gear. Wasnt a wise move in hindsight as I worked hard for those 56 levels and so did the people that carried me.

With that being said I am not asking for handouts....i got what I got b/c of who I am and how I conduct myself. Yes it was in the best interest of the only group I was in to help gear me for the betterment of the group. IMO without them showing me that you could do Pinch, 7 Shamuns and Ambush with a good group I would have been scared out of my A$$. Not going to lie that I wasnt scared the entire time but the group knew I was new and took great care of me. I am eternally gratful for those guys in showing me how the "big dogs of hc" live.

I might regret this but I agree that I dont need any handouts. If the community would like me to earn my place then so be it. I am up for a challenge. I would like to say thanks again to all that have helped me with gear and advice. Going to make another toon so I can run 2 toons and have a mule lvl 15 - 20. If anyone has ees gear at that level and nothing on mp and you dont need please post up for fair market price and I will buy it.

Dont want to mislead anyone, I am a SC LS player at heart but was a long time US West D2 HCL player for 5+ years. I know about death and am willing to accept that fate WHEN it happens. Not tooting my own horn but I have already had 2 SC players that I am friends with that would like to join me on my adventure.

Another assumption I have is that HC needs more slashers and what better way to increase the player #'s than to help new players like I have been helped. I for one plan to "pay it forward" and help new slashers like I am on hc. OFC I like fg but it is an ends to a mean for me. I have had as much as 7k and as little as .96 or 0 I know that is nothing to some people but for someone that has only purchased a little fg it is alot.

NP Jay - short version is got to 45.

Mule to 13....going to get to 15 and I learned that exploring is scary at lvl 44 with no healer. While my 30 armor might be decent why do I have to stand in front with 3 other barbs? Granted my dmg was lower but if you want to explore put a more senior person on hc up front. i was scared to go to town as group didnt stop. I finally just decided I would to shrine when the group was near completition. This is nothing against the group I was in but dont put a newby up front as I might town at the wrong time and you will die.

Please remember how nervous you were when you 1st mq'd hc....one false move and you are dead, imo I should have been standing middle. Granted if I had mq'd a few times on hc and I had the best armor then hell yes get my ass to the front but I dont think i qualify. Thanks for the climb but I am still too nooby. Did get a nice lvl 55 plate 64ee for 100fg. Thought that was fair price and thank you. Just want to make sure that I dont appear spoiled.

Some want to make it hard b/c its hc and see if a Chip can make it. Well I am going to give it my best effort.

Ok for the record I was WRONG about being put in front...I think I did have the best armor of the group......doubt it but thats what i was told. Thanks for the 55 lvl 64ee amor.

Sorry for those that might be following and no posts lately but got to 63 and still alive. Had a nice run with Sarah1 from the Trust. Met her financee and vn slasher too. Had a nice game goiing with a healer but he had to leave.

I will grind out lvls tomorrow. Still feel that exploring at high lvls with no healer is a no no.....could be over rulled on this.

Hey chip...if you need groups and we are on at the same time pm me. There are some nice people on HC as you know and we do try and help out. Finding decent gear to climb
is a bit of a pain since drops are few and far between. In our climbs if there is a new guy we always try and leave items that we dont need for the new player to pick up as some of it
certainly upgrades a new slashers. My group found you a nice addition and a kind person and any of us would be happy to help out anytime....
