I have been thinking more on this matter... not sure what the initial problem is, it seems to me that there should be balance with the ratios and damage...

Before:
1 str = 0.95 ee (round down)

Now:
If dex and str have the same calculation, it should still work out the same
1 str = 0.95 ee (round down)
1 dex = 0.95 ee (round down)

Dagger:
1 str / 9 dex = 9.50 ee (round down)

Axe:
5 str / 5 dex = 9.50 ee (round down)

Unless it is like as you stated:

Dagger:
1 str = 0.10 ee
1 dex = 0.90 ee

Axe:
1 str = 0.50 ee
1 dex = 0.50 ee

Note:
Round down effect vs daggers effectiveness: 9 dex = 8.1 ee
Round down effect vs Axe effectiveness: 9 dex = 4.5 ee

That is the only explanation in where Dagger yeilds better damage than Axe

i think you cant beat daggers with axes.. because no matter if you stat dex or str with axes... 50% of the stats count as ee.. but its 90% of dex when you use a dagger.. so axes cant reach daggers. if you have the same stat points to use
imagine for dagger:
200dex 40str -->

180+4= 184ee

for axes:
200dex 40str -->

100+20= 120ee
120dex 120str -->

60+60= 120ee

thats imo how it works..

you are mistaken there... clubs will be the best weapon for a paladin! i also ran a few tests yesterday and was wondering,
why my lvl50 196 ee club (9 prof) with a 81/19 ratio was overpowering my lvl55 187 ee sword (11 prof) with also 81/19 ratio!

in the end my club was doing about the same max dmg then my sword, but with an extra 150+ min dmg compared to the sword,
even though the ratio should have been better for my sword then for my club...

this new system is definitely a great approach in my eyes, yet it still needs alot more testing and proper balancing!

This is so strange. I was doing cata hc with one other person a couple nights ago and I was averaging 600 damage and crits as high as 1800. Funny thing about that is I had 128 dex, 128 str and using a 155 ee 55 axe. Nowhere near the gear you were using :unsure:
