The whole weapons-System needs a bit of re-thinking. I would prefer a system, that made scoring critical hits on mobs only dependent from Str - critical hits from mobs less severe only dependent from Dex. That would balance it a bit.

It does seem that it would balance things a little (at least given my current level of understanding):
Str/Dex Weapon Ratio - 50% of crit dealing, regular weapon damage calculation
Str - Crit dealing control stat (50% crit dealing, damage multiplier)
Dex - Crit blocking control stat (damage reduction on receiving crits)
This way dex isn't so stacked, they're more even.
