I have tried HC a few times, never made it to MQ, and with the recent LAG issues that DO exist, I don't see myself trying HC anytime soon.

yeah as far as people saying that catacombs is dead on HC just join in The Trust/Labyrinth combo games they have been going pretty daily imo

i agree with joshie/kodie --- the hc market has deteriorated since the muting update --- I am sure you make as much now ROY as you did before the muting update and upgrade your gear all the time too

HC can be great again --- but we do need help with creating a viable market for players to excel without spending enormous amounts of fg so they can grow and be effective/content --- most people who use jsp are power players --- so putting all these power players in a position where they are mediocre players at best in not overly appealing right now

I agree with this statement.

Granted I am still new to LS, and have only ever played Hardcore. I have for one love it.. I have a great mentor in kermitdafrog (miah) and as benell has stated cata's run daily in Laby. I'm not one to solo all the way to MQ, I did it my first couple of MQ's when I was in Hell Yeah but that was mainly because of lack of players to fill a cata. Our problem these days seems to be trying to fill 2 HC cata groups... granted we still run into problems like last night where there is simply no one around so it was a LONG CRIPPLED climb from 55 to 71 as we simply did not have the damage to make it go fast enough.

No I do not make 100k+ a month anymore If I make 15k it's a good month now, but at the end of the day when I joined I imagined the game wouldn't have the same loopholes like it did making those ridiculous amount of fg was something that wouldn't last forever... I am not someone that likes to dwell in the past that much.

But I disagree on the fact that you aren't able to upgrade and whatnot it is not necessary that much anymore with the ability of catagames and fast and 'easy' mq's. But if you want to be an arenastar and be pretty you will have to spend a ridiculous amount of FG and/or TIME, not willing to do so or saying that items are overpriced is something that doesn't really sit right with me...

we all know (the ones playing hc) that good gear is scarce so when something comes for trade there is no overpaying/pricing it is simple demand economics you pay what is needed to obtain.

But if you want to mq on hc you just need a balanced team, you don't need the 100k items I think Labyrinth is a great example here, and they are showing how to take changes to this game and use them to their advantage fast catagames with great gp return.

What did you expect? Resurrection? Are you fucking serious. It is fucking hardcore. No matter for what reason you die, you are fucking dead. If paul kills your character on purpose, that character is fucking dead and isn't coming back.

The time paul actually revived people on HC was a time, I actually would of punched him in the face if I ever met him. You don't fucking resurrect people on HC. That shit doesn't happen.



Yeah, I did a little climbing with Labby. They are alright They don't have the best gear but they work well together. They keep it up, they will only get better.

I never start my climbs with the intended idea of cating. I always start solo and if catas pop up, I will join if the group is faster then I level solo.

And I can't say whether or not catas have been increasing but there are sill some good groups out there.

Prices on hc are WAY TO F'N HIGH!!!

if items were affordable.. then more people would slash.. and more items would be avalible.

the guilds hoarding the gear are the ones keeping the prices high and keeping hc small.

DROP the Prices.. and people will come!

i totally understand that the muteing nerf destroyed the economy.. but come on.. thats been a long time ago.. all we do is LOOSE players.. not gain them.
you have 10 people finding gear and selling for 50k.. or you could have 50 people finding gear selling for 10k..

its the "rich" guilds/groups that are keeping hc from growing.. i honestly dont blame them.. im just stateing that if they would sell off stuff a bit cheeper.. then there would be more for them to horde!.

I think you missed an important point. The people who invested mass fg into their gear pre-muting update/casting nerf aren't willing to absorb thousands of fg in losses. We're honestly stuck in a stalemate, because the people with gear don't want to lose the fg they've spent, but the people without gear have next to no way to fund/upgrade their own climbing gear without purchasing forum gold.

It's an unfortunate situation, but we've had this problem for a very long time...people are just now starting to make a stink about it again.

true.. tons of people will cry moan and bitch.. so what. true players will stay.. new players will come.
some of the whiners will go back to sc.. others will just quit..
remeber.. even if you spent $ on your fg.. and bought stuff with your fg.. those items still belong to LS .. not you.. if paul deleted the game tomorrow.. not a single thing anyone could do legaly to get retribution. you would have to just deal..
