well depends on ur definition of worth it i jailbreak mines couple days ago and ive been downloading free apps ever since like time crisis its acually easy n good setup to play and jailbreaking is not hard at all n i got my ipod touch updated to 3.0 w/o payin 10 bucks etc..

its fixable ul just have to recover from the beginning when u first bought the ipod touch / iphone

also u can jialbreak on 3.0 wit first gen which mine is 8 gb / first gen

I jailbroke mine about 20 minutes after I got it, and have loved it ever since. If you don't like it, just restore and solve your problems.

And for 3.0, I used Redsnow 0.7, worked fine for me, 8GB 2nd Gen.
