Datis would agree to this 100% if not more ... he gave me the same advice, I never learnt, oh wait, he didn't take his own advice as well and Drop Quantity / Quality + Experience gain got nerfed when we used to have his level 150+ character in a Bridged game for rushing the group from level 1 to 71 (master quest at that time for all classes and no such thing as creating groups with open levels like now).
That is how he got to level 200 in the past ... join a group of low levels going to Master Quest, healing them and helping out at mid to higher levels with killing and gaining the same experience points & drops for the kills ... that got nerfed so much... it was pointless, he gained 0 xp, could not kill because drops = 0 based on his character level ... the good thing was the Mini Map got fixed and has a Set size per level by squares. But it also influenced Monster Levels going up as you level up and the +2 level addition for unlocked classes.
Damn... those were the days ... I ruined Slugslider / Gigabee hunting also because I posted the Drops we were getting on top of experience (did not for the prof though)
Now we have whistling... people love that update ... and it because people pointed out their opinion... woot, now you don't have to go back and forth in a catacomb to spawn a monster... just whistle dixie all day long and viola, you level up.
Your point is valid though.
