NGL as much as I loved the loot, I hated chain-dying. The increased loss based on % made this weird "play to 90, die to 20" trying to min-max efficiency and honestly you GOT the xp too fast.

From my terribly inexperienced POV, I like the change, but shocked there's nothing "juicy" added in it's place.

like:
- Sneaky still needs a complete rework...
- Objectives as a whole need jesus. First couple are fine, but things that are 13+ shouldn't be non-existent until 55+ on EVERY Climb...
- MP still needs a tax-cap so there's more than 1 "good" item posted ever (or a tax re-work...idk but we're literally BYPASSING the tax anyway so it's doing nothing but HURTING the market)
- Still no profession xp past 71
- The 60 second death-lockout makes no sense. Losing weapon prof is plenty of incentive to avoid dying IMO, and the lockout just incentivizes not using fish/comfs when you die? Don't get it
- Potions and Totems without death farming seem WAYY too rare. Maybe this is alrdy being looked at idk but yeah

Could be some fancy cool update around the corner to makeup for the RIP Death-farm, no idea, but just my 2 cents.

work around the death farming... make 1-55 groups take all your chars to 55... then mq repeat ... :ph34r:

Datis would agree to this 100% if not more ... he gave me the same advice, I never learnt, oh wait, he didn't take his own advice as well and Drop Quantity / Quality + Experience gain got nerfed when we used to have his level 150+ character in a Bridged game for rushing the group from level 1 to 71 (master quest at that time for all classes and no such thing as creating groups with open levels like now).

That is how he got to level 200 in the past ... join a group of low levels going to Master Quest, healing them and helping out at mid to higher levels with killing and gaining the same experience points & drops for the kills ... that got nerfed so much... it was pointless, he gained 0 xp, could not kill because drops = 0 based on his character level ... the good thing was the Mini Map got fixed and has a Set size per level by squares. But it also influenced Monster Levels going up as you level up and the +2 level addition for unlocked classes.

Damn... those were the days ... I ruined Slugslider / Gigabee hunting also because I posted the Drops we were getting on top of experience (did not for the prof though)

Now we have whistling... people love that update ... and it because people pointed out their opinion... woot, now you don't have to go back and forth in a catacomb to spawn a monster... just whistle dixie all day long and viola, you level up.

Your point is valid though. :P

Well, that sucks..
I only play solo as I don't have enough consecutive time to join MQ groups and I got in death farming a few months ago, which turned out to be an enjoyable method for earning some fg through selling mutables and white items. I even found a couple nice usable items. I've been doing this while commuting or when I had a few spare minutes. Before that, I've done a few solo climbs, but it got a bit boring when you don't have much consecutive time for it. Five minutes here and there doesn't get you very far and it's a bit discouraging.
Time to sell and move on I guess.

every update for the past 15 years has been removing methods of finding items inside the game and adding literally nothing.
players find a different way to farm items, boom next update gone
good game, bad dev updates, this game was in its prime back in 2008
truly sad to see it


update should say " added check box where player can elect to not gain experience " dying no longer removes experience
