I concur with you both, this would be great, but will not hinder "Death farming" (jmo = just my opinion)
To fix the issue, every monster spawn should have a drop, even if the dropped item is a loin cloth that doesn't even help. This is an extreme example, but maybe a tier I white would be the lowest item from a monster. We already see this in Treasure Chests... they should be renamed to "Chests" because in reality, the drops from them are not Treasure.
