That part is very clear. It's the first 0 he's claiming that I'm trying to figure out where it came from. At this point, all I can assume is it's from ^Pick 's carrot

probably from the fact he got no extra chests. Treasure chest map with say 7 chests and he received 7 chests means 0 bonus. 0 * 170%

there is a guarantee to have exactly 0 treasure chests in any map
That is the bare minimum and this won't increase, even if the chance of spawning treasure chests is enhanced by 170%

abstract result is:

min. chests: 0
max chests: chance * 170%

Activated Map +6 Extra Treasure Chests
Event +170% More Treasure Chests
= only 7 Treasure Chests (excluding last TC)

So the Event does NOT increase % chance of more treasure chests, considering that there was a definite 1 TC (excluding final TC), so in retrospect there are 2 outcomes;

1. (if it does not effect Maps) and getting 1 TC, the +170% More TC's (Event) should have been 2 TC's + 6 from mod in that Map.
2. (if it did effect Map mods), then the total would have been at least 12 TC's.

But in any case, I will read the link that John sent me in PM.

So let's use Evil Presence as an example.

ANY maze/map without +extra ep, will always have a chance to encounter EP, let's say that when you open up a new maze this one will roll so you have ~10 ep encounters in there
With an event of +100% Evil Presence this means u will find 20 ep encounters instead.
But this maze could also just roll 1-2ep, so you might only find 2 or 4 ep's in total aswell.


But let's say that you have a level 35map with +20 Evil Presence

It's the exact same math behind Treasure Chests

When you generate a new maze there will spawn x-xx amount of each thing,
Event makes that 100% more of them.

Conclusion: Events are only working of the actual base rolls in a maze, it is not a multiplier for the actual map mods.


That is very useful information that I was not aware of, so what happens (had this happen before) where a + 12 EP map only gives 11 EP spawn? Is that a fault in the mechanics (note, can not remember what the Event mods were at the time this happened)

It’s generally accepted that it’s possible to spawn one less ep/Well than the map had on it due to the final chest being spawned on what should have been the final ep/well
