But it doesnt say "miss" and the physical shield is not defined as an evasion aura, it just negates any damage to zero.

To edit on it: If a zero hit you do counts as miss, as what does a zero hit from a mob count? If it is a miss aswell, you must have some evasion stat, but how is that defined? Does EE on armor then improves your evasion and the damage reduction?
