If it took 6-7 seconds, it wasn't an instant disconnect. Which means, it would have happened the same on any version of the game, except on previous ones, you'd lose all saved states when it did disconnect.

not sure why this would be affected. The amount of maps is based on how many players in the group and the map always drops tier I
Seriously though I cannot see any reason why it'd affect the map drop. There's not been an official word on this, but seems logical to presume no change.


Thanks for the updates Paul, not sure why there's so much negativity.

I also see a quality of play improvement..so far i was really quiickly back into catacombs when i disconnected (on beta).. it is nice to not lose the map progress every time. and the 5 seconds idle timer is still active anyways.. so if you dont get back into the game for any reason you should be in town after 5 seconds.

Yes but his name was in red, and still in cata taking damage no? So the server recognized he disconnected, where he would dc from server before and now hes still in cata taking damage

So before he would lag/not be present, server recognizes disconnect. Now you lag/not be present, server recognizes disconnect and you still sit in cata and take damage lol

Again not a problem for groups, or really even SC, but getting ebola'd like this on HC for something out of your control isnt really fair

This was always the case in previous version of the game aswell, you normally get dc'd from the game once you click on "login"
Some are 100% instant while others are a bit slower. But this is not new.

And glyphs are worth getting/using again!

Correct, disconnects don't chicken you from catacombs anymore. This was never an intended mechanic, and I always considered it a cheat. Are you still confused about this, or did you have something further to add that you haven't already complained about multiple times now?

If so it's hard to tell. No idea tho. Maybe they will chime in shortly.
