Nice gear... As people stated... tweak out what abilities / stat points that you find comfortable while using that gear.

Test out 2 Ability & stat placements first before moving onto 3 abilities.
... Dblestrike / Powerstrike
... Dblestrike / Retribution
... Dblestrike / Salvation
Note: by level 55, you can have 58% & 51% charge on any of those 2 combinations. Now you have to decide and test your stat allocation.

How you add your points from 1-55 is dependent on your climbing gear. You may do the first 25 levels using stat robes etc. Up to you, also first 3 points to Dblestrike, then other etc.

Doing the 2 ability testing, you should come to an understanding what 3 abilities you may choose.

Makes sense, thanks!

I agree with one thing that Rex said, in that you should play around with how you stat your char, that is solid advice. You should definitely go nuts and stat way too much of all stats as that is the only way that you can figure out how much is enough for you. Only going for int is surprisingly good and I think everyone should do a climb doing that. It is not what you want to go for every climb, but it does give you a good idea of how much you want to go for.

The best thing you can do on monk is to spend 2-3 points on twohitback, it’s the same ability as doublestrike, only it charges with hits taken instead of weapon hits. We are going to be taking a lot of damage so you want to take advantage of that. This allows you to use doublestrike or twohitback every wave, which is just overpowered as hell :D

Also, try to find some items like this. I don’t mean something as high as them, just something like them. I can easily heal for more than monsters can deal with them, all the way to mq. It does wonders to your solo experience. Int is not really a mod that anyone needs on their dex gear since the vast majority of players only do whistle climbs. I’m sure you can find some “fail drops” with both for not that much.

RabbitRoyal made excellent comments there and showed some excellent examples of Melee/Heal items for solo'ing.

The cheaper options would be incorporating Heal Mastery as a second mod you want on a Stat item. After the nerf to Heal Mastery, testing showed that equal amount of intelligence & Heal Mastery proved to give the best results (Healing ONLY). Don't get me wrong... Intelligence is far superior for pure casting & healing builds (Mage / Lock / Alch) or pure Int off caster builds (Samurai / Paladin / Monk / Ninja ... oh and crazy people like myself would go Headhunter... )

I would not pay a single fg extra for 5 extra hm on my melee gear, it's useless. We don't need more EE, we need to raise the base values of our heal charms and the only way to do that is by statting int.

This is my 195%ee heal with 0 int, Hm only adds to your EE. Why would I want more EE? It won't help me in any way. I need int to raise the base values of the charm so there is actually anything to multiply. I get that a lot of people spent a great deal on your so called GG gear with hm add, but yeah. You got screwed because it's worthless xD

ehhh not saying int isn't a great side mod because I like it also but finding dex/int gear good enough to actually use is not easy

i would not go down that "rabbit" hole at this point

Well, I mean has anyone actually put up an iso for it during the last 5 years? :P

I haven't seen it at least. A mq robe with 35 dex + 20 int doesn't have any real value and you would pretty much have to pay someone to take it off your hands. Will you find it immediately? Not really, you might, but probably not. If you do find someone with it, at least you won't find yourself in a bid war for it.

Edit: In terms of soloing, you can just change how you stat your char and you essentially have a 55 dex robe that you couldn't possibly afford anyway, so I would say that it is definitely worth looking into. Who knows what is out there? I would guess that there is a fair amount of them that people just can't be bothered to sell because there is no market for them.

Not sure what you are really going on about with my post after you pointing out great items with Dex + Int stats and me stating that a person can use or look for Dex + Heal Mastery items that can benefit their build if going for Melee / Heal while solo'ing.

Dex + Int gear is extremely rare and expensive, so an alternative is to buy Dex + HM gear and stat int appropriately for more of a comfortable run when using the Ability of Salvation.

I am lost in your composition of how it alters things when giving advice to new players that they have to test for themselves... I did not say your post was incorrect in anyway, nor did I point out any flaws of it, I only pointed out another avenue the player could look at that was a cheaper option.
