why? that doesn't represent the average player either.

since when is it supposed to be so easy to show up to a game brand new and be average already

There have been climbs that I've done with people with 1k+++ MQs that click like crap. I'd rather take a new player in those cases because they might actually be willing to learn how to contribute to a climb. :rofl:

Ttim's point is that this a very recent trend that monster difficulty has become as prevalent as it has been. It's not like this thread was posted after a small chain of monster difficulty. It's been near-constant for months.

There is randomness, and there is this.

I see what you're talking about, discussed in PM.

Hit a 7 wave EP at level 70 and it was rough for players with excellent gear, so I'd imagine that wouldn't be possible for players with average to below average gear.

What i'm trying to say though is that 9 in the last 10 events HAVE had a monster difficulty applied to it. I am all for this event, it's actually got potential to drop something significant, shame item stat quality isn't a little higher but it's good it's actually there with the MD.

What i'm trying to say:
Where are the events which are simply +exp? With no monster difficulty?
How about a NEGATIVE monster difficulty event to make climbs even faster? Would make your mirror mazes extremely doable also.

It depends whether or not you want a community or whether you want a bunch of elitists to play together.
Without the new players the average will go to inactive.

Also you cannot compare the different difficulties as they all do different stuff.
The current one makes it the hardest - the others don’t really change anything

It was Ryan tor zero with WL Godo and Craigs
Ryan didn’t have any real Mq gear and Craig’s more hp than the tank and he was backrow
Only Godo had really good gear, so it is comparable to a random sc group

Paul do not need to remove events completely, all it takes is to tweak the numbers a bit, and maybe reduce the monster boosting amount of stats from 4 to 3-2-1 easy fix..


Seems like this thread has turned into an "elite gear vs good to bad gear" war

but why doesnt it exist? I've not noticed any difference in the amount of xp gained from the MD events, only obviously noticable one was the +14% exp event not so long back, which was extremely noticable.


Are you guys in UA really looking at that event and thinking "this is perfect to do group climbs"? "This is perfect for a MM"? it wasn't far off being an amazing event for mirror maze but the MD has pretty much destroyed that notion.

I guess I could see that, make the 4 different monster boosting stats into 1 would make sense
