Now we can see that this idea has merit... considering the drama unfolding in this thread already.

To everyone that voted NO, how is this SA any good for the community? I would think everyone would like to see "drama" such as this far removed from LS. I saw fees brought up several times, but to my knowledge the fees are to deter users abusing the MP as their "vault". This could be an easy fix with a fixed number of allowed trades through the mail. Simple as seller gets one mail at a time. If buyer doesn't open and buy it within 24hrs the mail comes back. Are we really going to stress over someone abusing 1 slot? If so make a return to sender fee... guess that could be abused to if buyer has a grudge vs seller and stiffs him the return fee. hmmmm Well anyhow back to the one mail at a time issue.... While seller is waiting for buyer to open and pay he would have to revert back to placing on MP and hope for a non snipe drama free trade.

Posted to show there’s been a need for it for a very long time. Kevin expressed a similar idea/concept like yours when Bob888 did his theft. Where you can post something maybe even with the buyers Jsp number attached to it and the amount and it stays for x amount of time and if not taken it goes back to your vault. This could also be the same for loaning gear and would be a huge help with that too. Everyone has loaned gear and they end up going afk for a long time or something and there you are stuck without it. Lot of benefits.

No it’s not good for the community. Right now it facilitates dishonesty and theft. If your not in the same guild there’s no 100% safe way to trade. Even if it’s posted for the agreed price you can still have someone else buy it before you can. It’s not fair to anyone to have to leave a guild and your points to be able to go or bring an item to someone to finish a deal. It’s something that should have been in place years ago. We have a lot of other games that we can consider that has a safer system in place for examples.

Not really any drama with mine, everything is said in the screenshots by others that were there at the time. When you have the actual seller of the item in his own words say “Pretty sad nothing happened to bob over this. he was clearly the scammer. he used my lack of knowledge at the time to his advantage.” Can’t argue with that at all no matter how much deflecting and misdirection you try.

You need to think differently... the idea has merit, but, implementing it with more benefits need to be addressed.

1. Make a trade topic! (simple right)
2. Any PMs sent to you about this and that needs to be replied with: "Post this in my trade thread, also, I have copied this and will also add it to the thread"
3. When a person has either Bin'd an item, or you as trader accepted their amount (which needs to also be posted in trade thread), you can transfer item to Private Trade with Username etc.
4. Coding needs to implement trade thread and also Private Trade. Thus, no one can put item up at 1-50fg (when item is 200-XXXXfg amount to ignore FEES)
5. ETC
6. ETC... and so on.

So, instead of bitching it could be abused, how about implementing that this idea can work. How would you deter the issues you see that could happen? It is simple... if you can think of a con to the suggestion, you can also see away around it. This is why 90% of NO votes are basically pathetic, they know the cons, but they don't want to think of how to stop it from happening.

You have to realise that the amplifier is only detecting your BS... considering it only amplifies what you post.
