Seems the only thing that TD's are good for is to reset the Objectives.

But who does Objectives any more when all you see in cata's nowadays are 2-hour blacktrack runs??

As to proficiencies -- That is a can of worms in itself

At the end of the day, there is a golden rule to prof hunters...
DO NOT join a group.

Pure and simple...
for those that want to get more proficiency points while solo'ing and having high ranks, just do the following:

1. Use white items... since you get more actions when using this item at same tier level
2. Do NOT enter a TD, stay in the same level
3. Do NOT use Salvation / Powerstrike / Retribution or any 1 hit/cast ability as you do NOT get more prof points...

Pure and simple rules.

If you want to get in a group... then ensure that the group is mediocre and not Good Godly and 1 hit killing / healing

Whether you use a white or modded item is totally immaterial as the max number of hits per mob that counts towards proficiency is 10.

Whether or not you take a TD does not change this max 10 hit lvl

You are wrong on the abilities -- I have noticed an increase in prof when using powerstrike as compared to regular striking

I do love these objections...

It is based on a few things that contribute to both Salvation/Retribution... Healing / Weapon proficiencies when using basic gear at Tier level to the character level.

I know you want to prove me wrong... do it... I need correcting if I give wrong information.

Actually you are gaining experience faster... but you are reducing your actions... so less actions = less profs but, greater Experience gain

But profs are actually something you get along playing this game aka: Slashing the Ladder, MQ'ing. Not the other way around that's the easy way you ATTEMPT (because you haven't really succeeded) to do this

Okay... we will let you off on this excuse... but... here is my challenge to you... I will DELETE my softcore character with my 1.15 profs if you take up my challenge on
deleting a character of your choosing and we will start a competition WITHOUT any guild help... not including any SKILLS to do with MUting, glyping, fishing ETC.

But.... there are many other things that need to be organised before this has been instigated.
