an auto stacker would be nice....i would need:
TIERI 45+mana
TierII 60+mana
TierII 90+life
TierIII 60-145life
TierIII 145+life
TierIII 40-145mana
TierIII 145+mana
TierIV 60-145life
TierIV 145+life
TierIV 40-145mana
TierIV 145+mana

but this will go out of space when i hit salmons....so this couldn´t work at all :(

Auto stack all over 40 mana /40 life for tier 1's imo.
Again a more advanced settings/options box would be great here to set the variable of life/mana to be stacked and which shhould be ignored

I think that an autostacker that let you set your own parameters would be the best way. Kind of like how you search for things on the mp, except set it to only the fish you want to auto stack. Another helpfull thing to add to it would be the option to save your settings so that everytime you log out you dont have to go through and and set everything again, this would be time consuming and anoying to the people who are high level fishers that need to set the parameters for a lot of different tiers. If paul isnt going back to the way it was I think that this would be the best way to do it in my opnion.

Keep auto stacking on fish caught - Remove all life/mana values from the fish

Cooking the fish gives a random amount of life/mana based on tier and your cooking skill level. Higher skill level gives better chance for a high amount of life/mana.

Also let fishers extract essences from fish based on fishing skill level. This way they can do suffusencing on their own. Tramsuting still gives better essences from items

Dropping fish into the well in cata results in a Fish Boss! Harder to fish or maybe requires some different action with some kind of reward

I already know if I made a poll for these suggestions it would have like a 99% Hell No vote, but I'm bored and felt like trying to spark an idea in the fishing the world

I can't speak for other fishers but I am pretty stringent about how I organize my stacks. For fish that are cod and above I like to average my stacks together into groups separated by increments of 50 mana or life (uncooked).

Prevent mana and life fish from autostacking together and keep rare fish separate too.

Other fishing ideas that have been running through my mind post update:
Perhaps it is time to revisit the 1 second fish usage timer?
Perhaps we can get unstacking too? I love my 1000+ sardine and herring stacks but not everyone can afford them lol.
Apply the stacking ability my main character's fishing/cooking/suffusencing ranks across my entire account so I can stack on my mules.

In regards to fishing in the well:

Came across a well earlier today when I was fishing and I did not notice any significant difference on the quality of the fish. Caught ~50 fish before my rod snapped.
Only thing I found was that it's easier to break your rod in the well. I found it easier to fish from the pond with a plain tier IV rod than fishing in the well with the +48 dura tier IV rod, while getting seemingly the same quality fish.

I'll be a bit more careful next time I come across a well soloing, and try to get some sort of data collection system for say 100 fish from the well and 100 fish from the pond. Times where rod needed to be released, prof points per fish, etc.

Let me know your thoughts on well fishing, as I've yet to hear very much about it other than in groups.
