I'm sorry, but that has to be the least readable post I've seen in ages.
Having worked through it, I'm going back to
two key points, and the first one you continue to miss:
You cannot optimize for casting when you aren't casting. Your hybid build means the majority of your kills are are melee. This means you're not building casting profs.
Second, you keep referring to "Melee/healing hybrid". Casters heal. Melee heal. Healing does
not make you a hybrid. Every character has mana, every character needs health to continue to attack. Heal charms work, the question is efficiency. Optimized caster killers are typically NOT optimized for healing. Nor are optimized melee. However, both can do it. Easier to save the casters for killing, devote 1 melee, usually a leather, scale, or badass robe wearer, to an all-int melee build that has decent mana and decent heals. Doesn't make it a "hybrid", it makes it a character that has the ability to tank shots from ambush, heal, and do fuckloads of melee damage as well. Just like I can cast, should I so choose I can heal, and I have decent mana. Same deal. You're either very 1-dimensional in what you consider "hybrid", or EVERY caster in LS is a "hybrid", as pretty much EVERY caster heals, and healing is NOT casting, casting is an offensive skill, healing is HEALING. Get it through your thick skull and quite acting like a moronic child who's posts keep getting less and less literate, yes?
Oh, and the other bit, when did I mention McClain? Good grief you suck. Troll less, perhaps your arguments might at least make sense. I stated right from the start, I get 1/8th the prof in cata, yes? Cata is where you USE casting profs. Arena is where you TRAIN them. You tell me how you're going to go caster/melee hybrid in arena, I tell you that's stupid, and you suck at optimizing builds. And I'm right. So shut the fuck up, and go prove your statement regarding the ease of becoming a caster who doesn't suck.

Bolded reference:
Guess you did not read it the way it is written...

1. It does not take very long for a person to gain ranks in Casting...
Where does that sentence apply to anything else but gaining Ranks in casting?
All your dribble and argument based on not being able to read... guess I can only laugh at you.
As for you being right... shit... what do you have to be right about... all you did was point out what I stated in the first place.
Then you carry on and point it out some more...

I do not need to prove my statement being correct... you just did it.
Ohh... if you have to put points into Int to heal... then a melee / heal can be referred to as being hybrid.
A pure melee is Dex/Str oriented
A pure healer is Intelligence oriented as is a Caster
____________
Now that my character is a
Ninja... and I only utilise one (1) character to gain profs in everything that I want to... I know for a fact that I gain Casting Ranks by making my Ninja a Melee/Hybrid (all int build upto level 55 and then rest strength)... I have
4k mana around level 60 (if not my level being less)... so that amount of mana is very good for the build...
What I am basically saying is this:
1. Start as mage
2. You unlock Sammy (stay casting maybe for Melee / Hybrid if you have the gear)
3. You unlock Paladin (make hybrid melee / healer... but remember that you can benefit more by being Melee / caster / heal if necessary)
4. You unlock Monk (again... think like the sammy/pally)
5. You unlock Ninja (again repeat the build)
6. You unlock Warlock... great pure caster again and you have gained mass ranks during your previous builds)
7. You unlock Headhunter... hmmm hopefully you went lightning... if not then melee is build...
8. You unlock Alchemist... great... now with all the time spent casting with every other character... you are GFG in catacombs
So... you tell me which is more beneficial?
It may not be a cookie build... but it is effective
Apology on error: you did not mention McClain... but you did mention below... and with the HC comment... guess you are talking about Arena?
"Roy on his HC HH manages around 1K prof points per hour"

Finally! Something worth quoting! I bow down to your return to literacy.
Now, myself, I have a 475 slot vault with the ability to use 375 of those slots for shrinables, fish, glyphs, essences, etc. Once I have the gearsets set up, I plan to go 55-71 using ice on sam, pali, monk, ninja. Anyone who uses anything other than axes 100% of the way through on HH is an idiot, and alchemist is ofc more ice. The earlier levels, assuming you have the gearset to support it, you no regen through as melee because your mana is going to be shitpoor, and save all drops magic+ for the later level castings, then you waste nothing, you want nothing, and your casting profs fly in the levels that matter.
Unfortunately, I'm poor as fuck, and don't have the gear for it. I do have a mage, so I go climb after climb, building up my ice prof, and gaining gear for the other classes one bit at a time. It works, it's efficient and effective both for what I wish to do, and every possible level is maximized to the fullest of it's potential.
Now, do you have any further questions regarding building a caster-prof maximized character? You scoffed at my statement regarding a vault, but it adds a depth to your character that's hard to match. ESPECIALLY if you mute, glyph, fish, shrine, and have lots of gear, and don't want to have to waste loads of time trasferring shit back and forth every 15 minutes.

I do not need to ask you anything... we both have the same goal in mind... we choose to do it differently.
Basically... I will see you on the otherside...
I do not have the gearset... but I continue... if I do make it to Warlock... I will undoubtedly build on ice/staff as I continue up
