as i said i have read through any possible guide and topic about welling, item find, magic luck and muting there is on jsp...

thats where i got this "understanding" of ml from... at least something that does make sense!

and ofc you can never know for certain if the magic luck gear gave you the 40 ee (with the 30% ml) or if it was 40 ee all the way (with the 70% not ml)...

regarding the fact that you can say if its even 30% ml or just 0,3% or no extra % at all...

there is simply no proof or report that justifies any hard facts about ml...

be my guest and pm paul about it, im sure he will be most happy to explain all the details to you... (being sarcastic here ofc)

taking directly from LS Portal, "+ Magic Luck Increases the chances for higher stats on an item drop. "

because muting is simply rerolling an item, one would argue that because it is not a "drop" ml takes no effect on it

yep thats what makes it an unsolved mystery :)

ill stick with my ml gear though and think that when i get to have a nice mute its also because of the ml...

just like this staff i muted today:

Mystical heartwood staff
Level Req: 15
Damage: 53 to 143

+115% Enhanced Effect
+1 to 16 Mana per Kill
+5% Life Steal

hehe you are right there :)

maybe paul enlightens us one day and presents us some details about magic luck ... (looking forward to it, but i suppose its a "will-never-happen"-thing)

so everyone is welcomed to solve this mystery by himself and make his own experience!

My understanding of, the magic luck is what makes over spawns happen.....If I understand it all right.....this is the example of what hes getting at, thats the proof of........because over spawns happen, only way for an over spawn to happen, is a multiplier

I have seen a 67 ee bronze plate before, I have no clue who found it with what gear, but I "Ass-U-Me" :) it was like a 59ee spawn and he had 8 luck on for example, boosting it up to that. There is tons of over spawn t1 to t3 items, I think we only see it on those items because the chances are the highest.

ex......odds of a t2 with 10 stats plus magluck over spawn to 12 stats verses a 55 charm over spawning to 72 is HUGE......

hope that makes sense, am sipping a bottle of flu stuff, am 9 ways of yuckie right now, bleh

well those times are over...

you are basically talking of unspawnables - since the "new age" of ls i dont think there was any unspawnable or "over-spawn"...

too bad i wasnt there when ls was still young...

overspawn???

in the max stats per tier guide autism made, this is hinted at
but i usually just assume any unspawnable item was just a drop from earlier patches before the caps were implemented


my understanding is that ml has nothing to do with 20% ee raising to 40%
only the prefix of the item ( magical upgrade to rare, rare upgrade to mystical etc.)

To be honest I do not belive that ML works for muting.

But I am 99 % certain that it dosen't lower the stats so i'm using it anyway

No..........

there is a huge difference between unspawnable SC items, and over spawn HC/SC items..........

There is HC over spawns, only SC has the unspawnables.........I dont know why you dont know what I am talking about........

unspawnable = t1 items with lvl 55 stats for example, 100% NOT possible to find any more in SC Only

overspawn = t3 item with 17 stats or 65ee for example, 100% Possible to find in HC and SC right now
