Why should rich ppl always control things? I like the aspect that i've earned all the profs that I have and im putting time into a skill to have it pay off in the long run.

My personal opinion with muting is Paul was tired of ppl playing LS soley to earn fg and why should ppl be rewarded from just muting and doing no climbs. His idea, make muting a skill and reward the players who actually spend the time to mute rather than those with the fg on hand to buy up the market. Sounds like a perfect solution imo.

Who says its the person with the most fg? Most of these transactions would be within guilds anyways and the person who buys it has to pickup and carry on from there anyways. Atm there is no one even close to achieveing a max skill and this is just a possible way for those who falter in the quest to get someone else to carry on.

But as before this is just brainstorming and most seem against it anyways but still good to have discussions

I really don't know why anyone would even bother to buy a stripped character -- without the gear that got them where they are, they are totally useless, and will have to be equipped at some further expense.

Talking about skills Rick like glyphing/fishing etc the prof points that take untold hours to achieve with lil benefit

I will more than gladly continue this discussion... for some reason im in the debating mood :D

On topic tho, ppl are greedy (myself included ofc) and would more than likely offer my skill up for the highest bidder and if the offers met my demands i'd give it up. The problem with keeping it in guild is, nobody in my guild has gotten past prof 8 and 1-10 are the easiest to do. I remember I could hammer out a prof in those lvls in like 5 hours. Ppl lose interest in muting and why would i offer it up to a guildy who will just lose interest in it or offer it up for sale in the future?

If profs were so beneficial at lower lvls everyone would be doing it and making tons of fg. Profs are meant to be difficult and more rewarding the higher the prof you have.

I think people forget that it takes a lot more time than it does skill to level these things up. The buyer would be basically paying for the fg/time invested, not really the "skill." I like the idea, but the fact that everything takes so long to level up makes it kinda iffy :-/

Having high level people in skills helps the ENTIRE community.

Realistically getting 50-55 muting/glyphing range by your own is near impossible.

Totally agree, muting prices would recover and it would help the community, but ppl shouldn't be able to buy those profs.

As for muting in the 50-55 range, ppl are already muting 30's and 50-55 range will be reached by summer I guarantee.

in HC the 30's are worth 1-2 fg still though...

Thats the fun part of having the monopole xD

interesting idea though dont know how practical. it takes soo much time to get proficiency up for a measly % bonus just as easily attained by upping gear (tho all of your gear must be upped). keep thinking like this tho, good stuff imo.

Voting No.

You should have to work for what you get.

Selling guild points should be illegal as well
