Great idea! Hope it gets implented!
Still, with no charms you wont be able to solo, and the alchemist is more appealing.
THanks... and true... without charms it does make it harder... but then Alchemist is also in the
same boat in reality... no use of weapons... Not sure how to improve the idea...

Stronger tank? I kinda doubt since you lose stats by not being able to use charms. That very easily means minus 40-50 str/dex (not to mention additional stats).
Paladin has more int and a lot more base vita. Dex/str can be covered from the charm (although this build does seems faster at lower levels).
Your suggestion for starting Stats:
Stength: 75... Dexterity: 55... Intelligence: 5... Vitality: 40
Paladin:
Stength: 55... Dexterity: 30... Intelligence: 20... Vitality: 55
Also I don't see why this class would mean more "options for item selections". Staffs could get a bit more expensive but not by a huge amount.
I'm not saying that this char wouldn't be great, I'm just saying that it would hardly bring anything new to this game (apart from the fact that you could reset the ladder with a melee build).
Maybe wrong wording for tank... more damage... help kill faster... reduces amount of damage by way of clearing faster.
Starting stats (Pally / Weapon Sp) ... let's say 20...
Wpn Sp: Stength: 75... Dexterity: 55... Intelligence: 5... Vitality:
60
Add 20
Paladin: Stength: 55... Dexterity:
50... Intelligence: 20... Vitality: 55 (20 added to Dex)
... No matter what formula you look at for Dexterity (with or without items)... the Weapon Specialist will reach
... target first...
I should have re-worded "Item Selection" a bit differently... basically... because of the ability to use All types of weapons...
this character could gain more proficiencies in those areas with every climb... this to me means more versatility.
It isn't something NEW in the gaming sense... but only gives more versatility and balance... well that is what I think...
This is a great discussion... good points... thank you..

Feeder Class total stats: 150
Samurai: 155
Paladin: 160
Monk: 165
Ninja: 170
.....
so the char need 185 Stats!
and in imo the char should use only middle armo r(no heavy / robes)
Even the Warlock/Headhunter have base 170 stat allocation... only the Alchemist has 175...
I like the idea of say 185 stats... but... I think that keeping within the same area as Alchemist
it gives more balance...
At first thought of only Scale/Chain armor types... I thought no... but then it does make some sense
with the class name: Weapon Specialist... with specialists... they want movement over heavy clumsy armor
I would still prefer only heavy armors... but love the idea...

i personally would still use alchy
Thank you... yes... some will just use the Alchy... and hopefully some will use the Weapon Specialist..
