And I'm trying to tell you that as a player with high latency the game would appear more fair the way it is now with the player remaining in the catacombs after a disconnect.

I like being able to keep maps. Don’t get me wrong.

All I want to see is on dc be forced to town.

I know it won’t happen but it is 100% a reasonable request in my eyes.

It’s not my game to develop so I have no say. I brought it up about 15 pages back and not a single response about it .

So it’s clearly not going to change. I’m okay with that

Yeah it’s the d/c on a solo 3 ep wave that is concerning. Before at least you knew you weren’t going to have to hope you can survive 10x boss hits because your connection fails.


We all know though that the next square you drive into could be a full wave or multiple EPs, that is basically a given. So the fact that you guys push as hard as possible on each drive is all that needs to change, go into battle with more life and quit creating issues that don't really exist. Just my 2 cents.

So in short you’re ok with people being able to die so long as you’re just automatically reconnected because your SATELLITE internet is shit?

Elitist bs, plenty of players have a connection like mine and it would be unfair not to cater to all. Furthermore, how is it not obvious that having high latency completely sucks... in other words you probably have an advantage over me regardless because you have a better connection. But that's my fault somehow that you don't get your way when all you need to do is adjust your play style slightly.

Idk how changing it this “caters to all” any less than d/c protecting everyone from death.

This has nothing to do with play style. A robe class can easily take 6-8k dmg from eps before the 10 hit idle timer kicks in. That isn’t “going hard” and low life type of damage. That’s fully healed and d/c on an ep damage.

I’ve personally seen ep and wells hit for crits over 2.5k MANY TIMES but by all means your map is more important even though you know your connection is crap.

This is a lie, plain and simple. Many people use and have used and abused f5 as their main escape.

There is always the possibility to die, because not all disconnects happen immediately, and that applies to all versions prior to and including this one. This applies to every online game that has a death mechanic. Stop pretending like it only applies to Ladder Slasher, or this particular version/change.

Thats just the idle timer though, it appears the game now recognizes when my connection drops instantly most of the time and freezes combat. If this doesn't happen for you, please make a video and upload on YT. Let's see this hyopthetical scenario in action.

I’m not saying the possibility to die wasn’t there, I’m saying the changes to persisting in the catacombs during a disconnect will increase that chance to die by a large amount. You removed the protections from when it does recognize the disconnect now it doesn’t do anything besides try to reconnect regardless of actual ability to regain the connection.

Change the game however you want, it’s yours to do as you wish but you don’t need to minimize/disregard the actual risk the change you are making poses.

You don't need to exaggerate and lie to create hysteria over something that isn't even an issue. You keep throwing around your presumptions as facts, when this has not been demonstrated on beta where people have far worse gear and setups than live. You're making things up, plain and simple. Stop.
