Does the faster cooking decrease the amount of exp per fish cooked like it does the number of prof points per fish cooked? I haven't tested yet but figured these would mostly cancel out

And if we look at the player ladder, we can see the high activity of the hardcore players who were crying about events making the game "too hard" yet still arent playing with no monster modifiers
