I know it doesn't feel like 88%, but that might be because people are looking at it wrong

As in if it was 100% it wouldn't be instant, but it would be 2 times faster

So for example in a 30% faster anything event, you go from 100% to 130%, which is only 1.3 times faster

In a 88% faster anything event, you go from 100% to 188% etc.

People might get confused and think the event means it takes you xx% less time to do a skill, which is very different

Quick math:

If a mute normally takes you 60 seconds and there's a 30% faster muting event --> 46.15 seconds is the new time
If a mute normally takes you 60 seconds and there's a 30% less skilling time event --> 42 seconds is the new time

If a mute normally takes you 60 seconds and there's a 88% faster muting event --> 31.91 seconds is the new time
If a mute normally takes you 60 seconds and there's a 88% less skilling time event --> 7.2 seconds is the new time

In that universe, less skilling time would also mean that even if you click at the wrong times etc, it's still gonna be 30% less total time

But if it's 30% or whatever faster, a few misclicks or clicks you get little progress with will set you back a lot more

welp, I guess, I still don't like the wording ^^ I do see where the math comes from

if I say something is 20% faster, I expect it to be at 80% of the initial time for example
not for LS, but for business processes, code runtime etc.

I wouldn't go to a company and say "we can help you reduce your cost by 80%" and then end up at 50ish, lol

being 100% faster devides the time by 2 everywhere

"hey we need 10 days to produce xy for you"
- try to double your speed (or be 100% faster)
--> 5 days needed

"reducing the time by 50%" is another story. you couldnt reduce the time for anything by 100% or it would be instantly done.

xx% faster than is a more multiplier (1+xx%)

xx% reduced makes a difference between ealier and later

Exactly. If your company increases production by 100%, then you go from producing 100 widgets an hour to 200 widgets in the same amount of time

Well using that as an example you can say that you do double as much in the same timeframe, like you're saying

Meaning, u can do 2 mutes as the same time as it would normally take to do one.

100% means Double (if it's faster it means double as fast = Half the time)
