I've been listening to Peter Gabriel's "So" this morning. I kinda love it. The sound engineering on this album is amazing and I feel like this is more inventive in terms of having a unique pop music feel - way more than most things being created now.
I'm pretty sure if this album was rereleased now as a "new" album young people might get into it thinking it was some new pop genius. I think the same way about "Rumors" by Fleetwood Mac - if some kids heard it on the radio they would think it was some new indie band.
This guy's music videos were just brilliant and weird. It's funny - I would listen to this song with my dad when I was a kid and had no idea this entire song is about laying pipe
Coincidentally, my dad also introduced me to the original Diablo game and his character's name was "Sledgehammer".
