for clarification I wasn't attempting to disparage the rusted sword army that just happened inadvertently.

I was hoping partyplanner could tell us more about his restrictions but it seems I have offended him so I will desist.

I vote no on this suggestion because very few resetters, in my opinion, lack the ability to self-regulate. I do feel as though the ladders have been short lately and it would be nice if they were longer but I'm not sure this is the solution.

There is only one solution. If you reset the ladder, you must move to Hardcore and cannot go back to softcore until you reset hardcore.
