i wish there is ANY way of adding EIS slots for skillers in planning. Atleast it was suggested / asked and discussed a couple times.

i´d pay , make some new quests , get new gear , advance in any other skill, sell my grandma just for having more of them on my SKILLING CHAR .

still rods would be worth nothing if you cannot lose them

Actually it wouldn't lose any value at all.
Has heavy weapons lost value even with the rarity of finding them better than a Rod?

Now, all I see is that the only rods to lose value would be TierI - TierIII just like all the items we are currently finding and basically trashing like 50+ % EE Tier III items (even though 60% EE on those items are perfect).

Mind you, this is my perspective on items, and remember, the Rods could be resold for up and coming fishing people, thus getting a return on what you have spent while improving your own skill.

There are actually a lot of rods dropping when we do MM, at least 1 per MM
The influx is just too high. If rods cannot break, they must drop even less to compensate. Imho rods are not the problem at the moment. Dante is right about the item slot situation though.
Best would be if you lose a tier every 5 levels on a well instead of 15.

yeah, and the cutoff could start later, like at rank 19 or 24 (instead of 14 atm)

Honestly the slot issue is the only one that needs to be fixed. Good rods do drop when you play a lot. I found a 168 and 20x Duri lvl 50 (60skill) rod over the last two months. The fact there aren’t enough slots to fish late in the skill is a skill breaking flaw that needs to get fixed.
